Hi all,

I've been looking for a decent battery pack for my Switch and came across this on Amazon France.

It's the USB C / 30W version that will charge a Mac, not the standard versions that have been listed previously.

In the box you get:

PowerCore + 26800 USB-C external battery, a Micro USB cable, a USB-C to USB-C cable, a travel pouch, a user guide, our 18-month warranty - so no wall charger etc but I'd use my Switch's.

To get the adapters, click on "Message Promotionnel" under the price and select "Recevez 1 Adaptateur USB C vers Micro USB gratuitement lorsque vous achetez 1 Articles éligibles ou plus proposés par AnkerDirect FR."

The promotion will be applied a checkout!

It's 54,92€ including UK delivery Amazon's currency converter brings it up at £50.63.

It's currently £69.99 on Amazon UK, which according to CamelCamelCamel is the cheapest it's ever been - uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Ank…LWL

You can get similar capacity for less than this, but not with the USB C/30W output - so people might want to consider other options if they don't need USB C!

Great post. Thanks, OP.
Is this the one that's 69.99 on the. Co.uk site? Which wall plug is recommended for this?
Thank you OP, bought and voted hot... Not sure why this is cold? This is the bees knees for charging the switch/macs with the power delivery, and as you say, the same thing from amazon.co.uk has been £70 for a long while now.

Yes it's the same one as this - gp/aw/d/B06XQ19LWL/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1515317420&sr=8-1π=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=anker+26800+pd&dpPl=1&dpID=310Wo696o9L&ref=plSrch

Not sure on wall plugs I'm afraid. Although the promotion I mentioned in the OP does offer some discounts on chargers too. Chrome will translate it all accurately enough!

I think the multi usb 60W charger with USB C at 22€ is pretty cheap and think there an offer on that if you get both.

Probably because there are similar ones for less money but without USB-C, which is a big difference IMO and worth the extra.

As long as some people get to take advantage of it I'll be happy but people often vote cold without knowing exactly what they're voting on!

Or maybe there's an equivalent elsewhere for less?

22 euro is cheap but doesn't ship to uk unfortunately. Uk version is £34.99 currently.

Yeah, I guess people are just misguided when it comes to these and think "hey it's just an expensive power bank, all power banks do the same job"..... Wrong.
Are these better than quick charge ones. So you can play and charge a switch ?
Madness. This should be scorching and in today’s WhatsApp deal drop.

The Anker has a better battery level indicator and looks nicer, but I'd prefer the RavPower model with the same capacity for £4 more because it has a micro USB input so you can recharge the pack off any old charger, you don't have to use USB-C.

That's a good point - although the free adapters will help, albeit slightly inelegantly! I live in France so the Anker's a better option for me personally.

I wonder when the general prices of USBC are going to come down, because they seem so much more expensive. I guess the extra power delivery costs?

Not entirely sure, but the review here says it charges as quickly as the dock.

is there an advantage to having this if you have a galaxy Note 8 device which uses USB C?

I have a regular Anker 20000mh Charger which I use USB to USB C. Keen to understand the advantages apart from a USB C to USB C connection - will it charge faster?

Would 30W be to much for a smaller mobile device?

It would charge your phone faster similar to using your OEM charger.
You do want a decent quality 3.1 usb C to C cable that is also USB IF Certified as well if you plan on moving to a C to C system. The phone will ask for the correct voltage and amps and it will be safe assuming you using a compliant cable and charger. 15W is the max the phone can draw with USB-PD.

I have a LG g5 (usb c), and it will always charge slower with a PD charger I use for my Dell tablet , or any other PD chargers that I have tried (4 to date) I use a regular anker 5v 2a charger or a qc3 charger which works fast!
Also to add, that's this does the 20v that some of the popular devices lice Mac's/Chromebooks/Dell tablets use which isn't usual for a portable charger. This is a very good deal. I would have purchased this if the output current at 20v was higher. Wanted a charger that would have enough current to let me use and charge the tablet if the battery was low.

WIth the LG G5, you will find it is better to stick with QC3.0 for charging. I guessing it having problems with trying to force QC 3.0 and USB PD together.
There's seems to be a lot of not charging quickly problems with the LG G5 and USB PD chargers, but that is also due to poorly implemented usb PD compliance on chargers both OEM and third-parties :

Agree, I always have wierd charging issues with my LG phones.

Eg. When charging on qc2/3 the phone will draw around 2a. When the phone is used it drops intake to 1a. It's frustrating especially when I'm using the phone as a satnav and charging simultaneously which is a common scenario.

Just read the link and other related links however I have not as yet got my phone anything near those fast charging rates. It will go as high as 5v and 2a max. Such a shame as sometimes I am in a hurry and a quick charge would be a welcome convenience.
People voting cold! It can charge a Mac!
PD works great with my pixel 2 xl

I have a Blackberry Keyone with QC3, I also have an Anker 5 port charger on my desk with one being 45W PD capable, works great with my XPS 13. For some reason the keyone absolutely cannot charge off that port though. It just doesn't detect a charger at all, when instead it should either 1) negotiate or 2) just dumb-charge at 5V up to 3A. I don't have this problem with any other dumb-charge USB-C device and the missus's phone can talk PD so charges quickly.

Let's replace QuickCharge with Power Delivery. Sooner the better.

Thanks OP. I was looking at the 20100 version @ £46.99 for some time and the price hasn't budged. This made up my mind. Cost me £49.04 paying in Euros with Starling Card

Glad it helped you and some others out!

Can't believe it's gone so cold, I thought because of the price difference it might not get scorching hot, but didn't expect it to get this cold.

It is nippy out though!

Well both state they are incompatible with Dell XPS. Most likely it's not powerful enough, might be just able to slow charge when it's off.
WIth USB PD, there are different profiles indicating it capability on watts it can provide as well. Both models only offers up to 30W which is only good for Macbooks Pros etc...

I wouldn't worry about it. I've bought it primarly for the Nintendo Switch on a long haul flight, and I know it fits the bill perfectly.

It’s madness. A great deal like this and it goes stone cold. Give them 60p off tank a fuel and they’ll vote the deal scorching as they count their 60 pennies saved. Maddest of websites.
Mine arrived today from Amazon. Once again thank you OP
