Projectors in this price range are a minefield.
This looks decent. Genuine 1080p from a recognised brand.
Sound output is aux only if that is important to you.

"Dual 5W Speakers"
Took a punt on this. Hoping I can use iPad to connect to it and airplay sound to Sonos Beam surround system.
200 lumens (no I didn't miss off a zero!)

Lens will be utter carp.

Save your money IMO.
So there isn't any 'native resolution xx' in the small print - Omission or genuine 1080p??
now out of stock.
Expired.
Anker do this.. Likely to be available again (at this price) Check back later.

That one is definitely not 1080p. For this one I kept trying to find if it was native or not but it seemed it was native.
Back in stock now
I'm looking for a small true 1080p projector at the moment to use mainly in the tent when we go away if anybody has any recommendations please?

I have had my eye on this one with £40 off taking it down to £160?

"Dual 5W Speakers"

Really expecting decent sound from 5w speakers? I did see that but was saying the only output is aux so audio out would need to be done from the source player to achieve anything more than basic analogue stereo.
Now in stock at £289.99.

With these being 200 lumen you can't expect much if anything off it
Be interesting to see how good a deal was this i missed..
Taken from an eBay listing:

·To minimize the risk of overheating, turn off after 3-4 hours of continuous usage.

·Dolby sound is not supported. If there is no sound with the picture, turn off Dolby Digital support in your Apple TV, Blu-Ray player, Fire TV, etc device.

Good luck guys
Totally recommend this one

I have it myself. Although it's not 1080 it is at least 720p which is great. And for the price too it's a bargain I think

That was ages ago It was back in stock at £100.
It was clearly a miss price, hopefully some people managed to get it.

I thought it was a really good deal, shame I didn't get much heat as Amazon expired it pretty fast.

I didn't buy one myself as I didn't need it but I hope others that did got one at this price.

Don't believe a second this one is 5500 lumens. At this price you will definetely find something better, forget about the Chinese brand. My Crenova projector claims 2000 lumens and you barely can see it if is not completely dark in the room. My LG is only 1000 lumens and is miles brighter than my Chinese projector.
Better buy second hand known brand, I paid £100 for a slightly used LG. If you want it new and portable, Viewsonic may be decent. These are not cheap, but the one you mentioned is not cheap either for what it is.

OK - thanks for that.

You're welcome. I'm not am expert, but you can see some Viewsonic deals on HUKD, they are 250-300 lumens and the price is over £200. Clearly this one can't be 20 times brighter and to cost so little. For that amount it will difficult to find a brand new good one, but you will definetely find a used good one. Unless you compromise on brightness and get portable ones, which are great, especially for taking away with you and if you use them when is very dark.

Deal doesnt exist it's full price, and that's benq money
Anyone tried it yet that managed to get one.
nrushforth12/09/2019 10:58

Anyone tried it yet that managed to get one.

Arrived today. So far pretty pleased with it. Not the brightest picture and needs to be watched in a dark room but can't complain for the money
Got mine setup. Connected my iPhone via the USB port to send the picture and then Airplay the sound to my Sonos Beam surround sound.

Works ok, but slight delay in the sound and video which can be corrected with VLC. Tried Infuse Pro player, but it couldn’t cope with the Airplay properly.

If I play sound direct from the projector then all is good, and sound is not too bad to be honest.

Picture not that bright, so a dark room is essential.

Still deciding whether to keep it or not.

Anyone any thoughts on their experiences?

Got mine yesterday. TBH I'm pretty happy with it. Yes, it's basic, but what do you expect at this price? Features, I don't particularly care about, what I'm interested in is the picture and in that regard it's fine for my purposes. It needs a dark room but so do the rest of the projectors I've had (and still have) over the years, so that's not a problem for me. I don't find it to be blurry as other people have done. I have only tested it with a USB stick so far so can't comment on lag over HDMI (sidenote: going by my tests it supports h264, but not h265, and it also supports exFAT). I'm not interested in using it for games so I can compensate for any lag that I might experience in films the same way as nrushforth did.

I dunno if I'd pay full price for it but at £100 I think I got a bargain.
For any anybody interested and does not mind paying a little more and having something slightly bigger I got the projector below in the end and am very impressed (room doesn't have to be fully dark and it is very sharp being native 1080p).

I got it on a Amazon Flash sale for £169.99, but it may go down again.

Thanks for giving a personal recomendation.
Well according to the reviews it is a 5* product with over 130 reviews.... My only problem with that is when its that good you wonder if the reviews are fake.
