I was on the hunt for a dash cam for my new van, I've had a variety of ones before but spotted that this was on offer. Been a bit of an Anker homer for years now but their product quality always seems to be really high and the reviews all look really good, especially for the price. Seems like a bargain down from £60!

How well does that transmitter thing actually work?

I've tried a few and never liked any of them. Specially on long trips. Either from passing interference or just lower sound volume. Though my car's antenna isn't too great, I get BBC2 with no static. But I get static with those

For the price just get a Bluetooth dongle, even Ankers, for about the same price

why not ask in the transmitter thread rather than the thread that the spammer has hijacked?

maybe because I didn't realise a separate post had been raised with the transmitter as its own deal. I don't know about the timescale but when I posted my comment about the transmitter above, the separate post had not been posted yet.

that good enough reason for you?

well if you didn't visit the link the guy gave to show the transmitter how do you know what hes on about?
he only says 'if your car doesn't already have built in bluetooth' which doesn't automatically mean a transmitter.
and if you didn't follow the link .. what did you think it was for?!

edit: the link and transmitter thread was there for well over an hour before you posted

If you look at my question brilly, I asked how well it worked and not what it was. Because I have seen such items before and saw from the link, without clicking what the poster was alluding to.

I wanted to know how well it worked, and not what it was as I know what it is.

Also, in my haste, as I was walking, I didn't see the first bit of the link (hukd) and just saw the words amazon and hence thought it was a direct link to the product on the amazon page.

If I would have clicked on the link then yeah I would have posted there direct on the page.

generally most people trying to bypass lack of bluetooth would go with a plug in receiver rather than an fm transmitter so i'll just go with 'whatever'
