Found this to be a nice addition to my 'not so modern' car. As an Amazon Music subscriber this is the ideal way for me to stream music without undue distraction.

i found these underwhelming
Modern phones can do all the Alexa stuff and more.
Okay Google does all the play music, navigate to..., Nearest petrol station etc
Gimmick.
If it works properly with Alexa, this is a good price to bring Alexa to your car. Voted hot, considered this before but some reviews were not that great.

I have a Mi9 so phone isn't the issue. The whole point of why I got this is the continual listening for Alexa with no phone battery drain or physical interaction.....same reason I use Echos at home rather than a phone. It links to my phone in the car but doesn't draw much battery compared to an enabled mic.
Interested in this but was hoping to hear more from owners.
Right, so I have this and have had it for a few days. 1st you can’t go wrong for this price, yes I suppose it’s a gimmick but it’s great. You can get in the car and plug it in takes about a minute to connect to your phone ( you do have to have the app on in the background on your phone)
It can do everything your home Alexa can do.
Alexa play blah blah and it will.
Alexa play game. And it will.
Pull up at your house and Alexa turn lights on ( if you have lights set up)
It have lost connection to my phone a few times, but I have been driving through lanes where signal does go low
Bear in mine it uses your data from your phone.
Like I said for £20 worth a punt.
So does this stream through the car headunit or through the phone?

Just a hunch but I'd say via the phone.

Does this read you your notifications (WhatsApp messages etc)?

I was worried about that too but it’s not. It’s quite small really

Do you find the mix picks up your voice ok? My main issue with voice commands in the car is that my phone always struggles to pick it up.over the background noise.

Iv considered how I could get Alexa into the car, haven't done anything about it as I cant say I need it but that may change in the future.

Do yourself a favour and just buy the echo input for the car this is useless as can hardly hear your screams and does not support Spotify. I wrongly bought one trusting the anker brand but it has been sitting in a drawer somewhere replaced by alexa proper.

You can press the button on top instead of saying “Alexa”

So I bit the bullet and bought one of these, installed it and as this guy says it's totally useless. I shouted at it and it still didn't respond to my Alexa command.

Straight back in the box and going back for a refund. Will be getting an Echo Input instead....
Almost certainly down to your phone .....that does almost all the processing. Works perfectly for me
