Initially I thought Soundcore was just a rebrand of Soundbuds to make them seem more posh. But I guess not.

As good as these likely are I'm still a sucker for the wired Bluetooth sets. Less chance of losing them... having them drop out at the gym only to be stepped on.

Wish they did a neckband version
These do look like they'll be amazing, though.. acoustic what-nots, and and other terms that sound impressive... Intriguing, to say the least...
I have these and the sound is amazing. 22eq settings and hear Id to adjust the sound to suit your hearing level in each ear.. bass is amazing and the mid to high levels are clear.

Also firmware is updatable via sound core app..
I have read a few people complaining of a hissing in the background, indeed think that they were withdrawn from sale for a while and then re-released. Has this been resolved now?
Wish they had anc and a smaller footprint....thanks for posting

Are there any comparisons between these and the Cambridge Audio MELOMANIA 1?

I'm currently waiting on the "second improved version" which should be due within the next week. I sent back my original ones due to the hissing. They reportedly improved it with a first improved iteration but didn't remove it completely so asked if I'd like to receive this new version or wait for the second improved iteration - I chose to wait.

Depends how susceptible you are to noticing / hearing these kind of things. It was a deal breaker for me but many probably won't notice it.

FWIW - the actual sound quality was brilliant despite this issue, so I'm very hopeful.

Is there, say, a product code change which tells you that you're getting the fixed version?
I would think "Pro 2" in the model have indicated the latest version...

I've looked into this and apparently it's a manufacturing default affecting only a very small percentage of units. Not much to worry about.

I've got mine today, constant white noise at low levels is still present, tried to watch Netflix on low volume, unbearable.
Maybe if someone is prone to ASMR this could work for that person but not for me.
I'd be returning them and looking for something else.
I'm not finding them well balanced either, I wouldn't take a run with them without worrying of losing them.
Sound stage is ok but highs are a tad too much piercing my ears.

lack of BT memory is the biggest downside, switching between devices IS ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.

beeing forced to spend 15-20second to put the back to the case is also ridiculous, unintuitive and overly complicated process of aligning them back in case.

I'd love to keep them but there are so many small things that irks me that makes me want to return them.

Thanks for the feedback - Anker gear is usually very good, sounds like they've got this one wrong, though.

Any other opinions?

no worries mate, white noise is certainly the biggest gripe.
Lack of touch controls even for raising a volume or just pausing is also a big downside.
You have only 1 press control on each of them to perform a certain action.
And press buttons perform certain actions such as pause, next, stop, take a call, refuse, mute, vol up, vol down.
and you are doing this in the most unintuitive ways you could even imagine.
multiple quick clicks to have them perform certain action is absolutely annoying - it's a hit or miss game - A Big No from Me.
Every time you are clicking on the earpiece you are constantly loosening that earphone inside the canal because it requires you to perform certain force on the earpiece.

Great product, sound is fine, but UX, white noise and few major-minor gripes are just too much to my taste for that premium asking price.

you can't sleep with them also beacue they stick outside way too much, unless you have dumbo-like ears so won't be a problem.
Yeah, for the price, these need to be close to perfect

That's a real shame. Be interested to hear what you eventually settle on, sounds like you've tried them all
support have told me revision 2 is supposed to lessen the white noise. Revision 3 (work in progress) is supposed to remove white noise completely.

lol I genuinely chuckled myself. Cybertruck of the wireless earphones.

Well here you have it, later we will refine the product, so just give us money because WE CARE.

Once Rev 2 hits the market, Gen 1 price will plummet and will hit the ground. same with gen 2.0 successor -> Gen 3.0
In case anyone still wants these, it's still available at £110

I actually pre ordered them. I could if got them refunded but am willing to wait for the rev3. Ignoring the white noise, they sound amazing

Hey man. Thanks for your feedback. I did go ahead and order them the other day. Used them a lot yesterday. I think they sound great but I do agree with some of your complaints although i'd say I'd need more time to be sure. First impressions are a touch interface would be better as you say.

I think I do also unfortunately have the background noise too (little harder for me to be sure as I have tinnitus, but i'm pretty sure I can hear it).

Are you going to be returning yours? I'm anxious that after using them (and trying basically all the different ear buds for sizing) that I won't be allowed to return them. I mean, they've been in my ears.

I remember reading someone writing in the soundcore forums that their rev2 is not indicated so they look identical to rev1.

I'm sure support can identify which revision you have from the serial code and will help with replacements if needed without any trouble:

I don't have a tinnitus but with those in my ears I feel like I actually have one.

ankes has aknowledged broad complains and they are offering hassle free returns within 30days and even after 30days if the device is in good physical condition (no scratches etc)

Don't get me wrong, they do sound great, but there are better offerings, even Samsung Buds sound great to me and I tried yesterday in flagship Curry's store new 75t from Jabra and Jabra offering is literally swooping the floor with Ankers.
Sits amazingly in the earcup, are small, touch controls, IP6 water and sweat resistant.
All levels are rich and well balanced, on default they sound great and have BT DEVICE MEMORY!!

Jeez, guys BT headphones from 2014 have had BT device memory, Anker requires you every time to pair them with a new device in the same way like you'd be doing this for the first time, absolutely annoying and inexplicable.

You are not buying those for just for sound, you are buying a full package.
You are not buying Mustang with EcoBoost engine, you are always going for a 4.8l v6 engine.
Ankers Soundcore Liberty Pro 2 is nothing else than this Mustang car equipped with half baked engine.
They look good and they promise much but failing short when scrutinized.
Great potential but poorly executed, especially user interface failing short leaving you with nothing but frustration.

I decided to return them rather than selling them on ebay for a simple reason - to avoid returns...
even knowing I could perhaps flip those earbuds for few extra sterlings.

Those are well reviewed in UK but in Germany reviewers absolutely wrecked them.

Right. Did you purchase them from Anker directly? I bought mine from Amazon. I've emailed Anker to ask who I should be returning them to.

The reviews i saw were very positive and were mostly American. If you do a quick Google you'll see those. In retrospect i do feel a bit silly because a touch interface does seem like the natural choice for a wireless bud. I was interested in the Echo Buds but they got some iffy reviews (and also some very positive ones) and also they didn't go on sale when I expected (sometime in November) and are still not on sale yet Then I came across these whilst doing research. A week later they went on sale and I sort of panick bought them, after seeing no wireless buds during Black Friday week (week!).

I think they sound great though, it's no exaggeration to say I heard details in tracks I hadn't heard before (I had cheap earphones before and only average pc speakers).

I did find it a bit tricky to find the button when I was trying to skip tracks which caused me some concern and your comments - which seem like you've been using them a lot longer than me - have put me off them more.

These are the only options though. I feel like a criminal lol. I think you're right though about needing a touch interface, I have never owned or used a pair of wireless buds before so I didn't really think about it all that much.

contact with customer service and tell them you are not satisfied with the product providing some reasons that suits you. they will fill the form for you and will provide return label at the end of the conversation.

@SlowBandit
have you got it accepted?
I have, and I'm ready to put a small note inside the packaging just for the Anker
They will hate me for that but that's the truth the have to face.
I've seen answer on Amazon review that only 1% of all manufactured devices are affected by white noise
which is a pure nonsense. All of them are affected in not the vast majority.

We'll need to pay postage fees and amazon will refund us.
