cheap knock-offs, go Apple or go home

Apple fanboy alert!
bmbratz20/01/2020 08:41

Compared with apple pro?

I'm not an Apple fan but their products simply work.

From reading the reviews these have poor call quality, bluetooth dropouts, poor noise cancelling. Whereas the apple pros are great in all the above areas.

However the sound quality on these seems ok and they're 5x cheaper than the apple pros so may do the job if you're not particularly interested in taking calls.

I'm really trying to find an alternative to the apple pros as I don't want to spend £250 on airpods! But I'm slowing being pulled to the airpods as there doesn't seem to be a quality alternative.

3.5 stars out of 5? I wouldn't say those are good reviews.
Very good deal for these and the form factor is very good, tempted at this price, but i had issues with pairing independent buds (different brands)while switching devices in the past so ill play it safe and get wireless ones that are interconnected so at least theyll be seen as one..

Review

I'm always suspicious of reviews where the reviewer has Amazon links to the product in the video description that pays out a commision for each sale. If you were being paid on product sales would your review of the product not be great?

The real world reviews of these from actual owners say that call quality is poor.

Could be an option, thanks
I have the first gen Liberty Air and they're excellent. Great call quality, never had any issues connecting (or staying connected) with my OnePlus 6T, and they sound decent for a cheap pair of earphones. Much better value than Airpods in my opinion.

If you're willing to spend that much I'd go for the Sony WF-100XM3. Currently £168 on Amazon, they're excellent in all areas and look great.

Yes these were a consideration but after reading the review they are not on par with the Apple Pros, especially in the call quality area which is my main selling point.

I got the Airpods Pro yesterday, was holding out also due to price but honestly nothing else on the market works just like this.
Discount not being redeemed on my account.
works for me as long as i tick the box on the front page

I'd suggest buying some and trying for yourself. Can always return them if they're not up to snuff. Never had an issue with call quality.

only takes one biased apple fans youtube review to deter people actually reading bewteen biased reviews and jumping for the x4 product.

My moto is to try the cheaper alternative with overall good reviews, if I don't like them send them back and buy the better version.

your not going to be able to do it the otherway round

Not excellent in the areas of 'staying in your ears' or 'being sweatproof'. Will admit they are the best sounding though.
Damnit, ordered the Life P2's yesterday at £32, which will be coming today. Was tempted by the reviews for these but couldn't at the price. Has anyone owned both? Worth the upgrade? very tempted..can just return the P2's unopened...

New firmware update was delivered a few days ago to address the call quality. Sony support / updates have been excellent!

It's really strange, I tried like 6 times and it didn't work but did work for a relative of mine (fortunately).

Apparently airs are only better if you like fiddling with sounds for most I just don't care
How well do these stay in the ear? I've had real issue with galaxy buds and the qcy t2s. Neither stay in for me

Also shame these are white. I'd actively want to avoid looking like an iSheep

Price gone up
I just bought a pair of these now. I recently got the Soundcore P2 but the sound skips when I'm walking outside. Unsure what that is. I bought these to see if the problem is the earbuds or my phone. Anyone ever get this?
