I have an older version of these earphones before I purchased these and they were fantastic. I think this offer is great considering the quality your getting for the price.

Are they any good or it's better to invest over £100 for JBL's or similar?
Are they actual noise cancelling or only on the phone calls?

Absolutely nothing in the reviews suggests that they have noise cancelling technology.

Noise cancelling microphone by the looks of things. Not actually noise cancelling earphones.

I'd hang on to Black Friday if you can.

Anker deals continually pop up and these aren't their best earbuds.

I bought these for £29.99, now £35.99 with voucher:

As good as my AKG Y50BT's in terms of sound. Love them.

Any thoughts on how these compare to the cheaper QCY deals that pop up weekly?
I’ve got them, only thing I don’t like is they look pretty ugly and you do get weird stares from people! Would be better in white colour if available.

Better order some cheaper ones to see if you tolerate them, I know 2 people who can't tolerate earbuds. There are plenty of cheap and decent ones, to name a few: Enacfire, Xiaomi, QCY, Anker. Spend £15-30 and see if it worth to get expensive ones. I am very pleased with my Enacfire E19 (£35 paid) and also have some no name posted on HUKD, paid £6 and I like them too. Can't compare them with the expensive ones, as I've never tried proper brands, but I am pleased with mine.

I bought these or another set of similar Anker buds but was very disappointed and bought some Cambridge Audio Melomania 1s and they’re excellent. Only thing I would say is the microphone picks up EVERYTHING on phone calls, not a problem for you but terrible on the other end I believe.

Try some other like Bose sounds sport and Jabra elite 65t or Melomania 1 by Cambridge so u have a clue about the sound differences. Bose won for me
I have the previous generation of these, and they're pretty good. I only use them when working out or when I'm working in the garden so don't need audiophile sound quality! However, they could really do with being able to go louder.

Does anyone have any idea if the latest ones can pump the tunes out with more volume?
Got these. Decent.
do they make phone calls? dum q sry
Very poor sound. Returned.
So many mixed reviews on these. Can anyone recommend anything decent for gym use preferably with silicone winged earbuds?

Just got the Jaybird vista and I can't fault it.
It's expensive though. Jaybird has been the only brand that has made products that stay in my ear at the gym or when running
No good. left wouldn’t connect automatically
Owned a pair for a year, been solid and the sound quality is more than good enough for the commute. Just my 2 cents

What app do you use, on Android power amp has a pre amp setting which helps with volume. Well as long as the headphones can handle it

Good idea for locally stored music, but I use Spotify, so that doesn't help! Thanks for the thought though!

I just bought the Cambridge too and couldn't see anything online about the microphone issue. It was only when I was on a call by a train and the other person literally put the phone down on me because it was ridiculously loud on their side. I'm going to have to return them.

On the Cambridge, I also found that when playing audio/video, the sound was v low. Initially thought it might be my ears or the fit, but on calls, it was much better.

Disappointing as it's an awesome bit of kit - other than it actually working properly for me!

I’ve not had audio issues at all on video’s either Netflix, iPlayer or YouTube but the microphone issue is very bad! I rarely use them for calls and the audio is that good (the battery life too)I can put up with just answering my phone the old fashioned way.

I've heard they "break in" so I was sort of willing to put up with my audio issue, but I tend to take a lot of calls out and about and was even planning to potentially use them at my desk as a headset type thing so the microphone thing is a deal breaker for me.

Any other recommendations for solid earbuds with good call capability? Budget of up to 150.

When I take calls in my office they’re perfectly fine it’s just when you’re in a noisy environment, even wind noise becomes unbearable on the other end! I’ve not tried a pair but the new Sony noise cancelling earbuds get great reviews but they’re £220.

Yep, they'll be fine in the office of course but that's an optimum environment so I'd expect any crappy buds to do well there. It's out and about that is the test! I just got off the phone to their support team and he said there is a degree of noise cancellation built in to the mic. But clearly that's not enough in my view! I might do some more tests with it and then return it if unsatisfactory.

I’ve had them since launch and they’re pretty rubbish for calls in everything but a quiet room, I would definitely look elsewhere if that’s important to you. The professional reviews pick up on how terrible they are for calls too so I knew what I was in for
Mine are exclusively for work and the noise isolation and audio are worth the sacrifice for me.

Would you mind linking me to some reviews that pick up on that? I didn't find any that focussed too much on call quality when I searched. If it's too much bother don't worry.

I’ve just had a quick scan of the first page of google and I can’t see the review I read, but if I come across it I will post a link
