Showing £89.99 but via amazon app there’s a £35 voucher on there taking it down to £54.99.

I got this a couple of months ago. It’s fantastic.
Anker make some of the best speakers in terms of £££ to sound quality ratio.

Is it too bass heavy? Some mixed reviews
Bought this a month ago. Returned it. Had a slight crackling noise when playing music.

For me it’s just right, I like bass but nothing too heavy
I would also consider the KitSound Slam 2, similar performance for less money. (Currently £42.07)

10 hours playtime compared to 18 with th Anker.
Does this model have the frustrating 'energy saving' auto shut off like the others?

Nope, had it running for approx 6 hours yesterday
This or the Soundcore Boost? Some reviews suggest that the Boost is actually better, despite being cheaper. It was on sale recently for £39.99.
Would this work as a google assistant speaker too? Since it's on battery, could it go into some standby mode until I ask google to play on that speaker?

Given the resources and pollution that new electronics create, I'd rather get refurb/second-hand if it's the same warranty

Others have said there's no auto off. So keep it plugged in and you should be golden. It would only speak though. No listen.

I bought the soundcore 2 ( upgraded) and it was too bassy, returned it and got the soundcore boost, it's also bass heavy but not quite as bad. I can't speak for this one, but there is a pattern here. The mid and treble get almost completely lost sometimes

Thank you, that would be fine, I got a google home mini which can do the listening and actually an anker powerhub that I can set it up at. Won't leave it plugged in all the time, but it should work nicely. Thank you
Can you connect your phone and make calls?
Ordered and voted HOT.

Soundcore Boost is a solid speaker with the added bass boost button if you need it too.(y)
I also find the Anker speakers have too much bass, they should have a small switch to lower the bass. This really is a negative for me when i'll purchase a new speaker.
Can you rename the Bluetooth sound profile on these? I'm after a few for an office solution but want them to show as the room names when searching

Hi All

I'm looking for a portable Bluetooth Speaker which is bass heavy (but clear). I'm looking at Sony XB41 or this Anker deal - I've done a quick spec comparison but any advice on which one to go for and how the bass is on this speaker would be very helpful and much appreciated! Thanks
Does the Anker not have any sound level controls to modify treble\bass or even EQ settings?

You can use equaliser apps on your phone to sort that. Some phones have equalisers built in. I prefer that, using the phone like a remote control
