If it's a recent purchase try contacting Amazon they may give you back the difference. I've done it before. It especially helps if you have an Amazon tablet to go through to the customer services. You can see the advisor and they're more likely to refund the difference.

just opened it up and had a quick play , this thing is great! played about with the EQ settings and it sounds amazing Packs quite a punch from a small ish device

Build quality is also very good and feels sturdy

This speaker is the bomb. Done everything from pool and bbq parties, to picnics, to choir rehearsals, and even work Xmas events as background music. Crazy good sound and battery life.

Wish it had the auxiliary input, though. And the handle makes it a lot bulkier than it needs to be

It's not compulsory. Handy for seeing the battery level, settings and receiving firmware updates though.

I have the basic one.. also on a deal at the moment. Must have had it 7years. The speakers are blown, it's been dropped. Kicked. Abused.
It still goes on for days and sounds good (albeit the bass isn't great on full volume now).

Time to upgrade

You're right. But once it's been EQ'd it's the best speaker you can get for £150 or under

I presume... once you've set the EQ using the app... do those settings stay on the device .. if I then deleted the eq app? Or connected the speaker to a different phone for example? (edited)

One of my friends have it and this is amazing. Very good speaker. Beats my Samsung s60a soundbar in bass.
