Voted hot, was looking at this yesterday, £40 on Amazon UK. The only thing stopping me to get it, I would have preferred a usb cable instead of the C7, as I wanted to carry it with me abroad and charge the PD power bank.
The one in the UK comes with the power lead. Will this not work with an adaptor instead of buying the C7 lead?

Yes shaving adapter if you didn't want to buy UK C7 cable to use in UK but if abroad you will already have EU cable innit

Do you realise that the C7 cable will have to carry 240v AC? You won't find a USB cable rated for that, you're asking for something that'll never happen. Or if not *will never* then certainly **should** never. It would be incredibly dangerous.

Heat because it seems a good deal, having to purcase an additional C7 cable would wipe out the savings but I would think most people have another C7 cable at home?

TBH I thought of this and I was sort of aware this will probably not be possible. But with the technology moving so fast I was hoping there is a sort of PD usb cable with some resistors or something in it to work this way. Thank you, you are absolutely right!

If you travel a lot there's a couple different alternatives in whole different price brackets that may or may not interest you.

Has two USB C ports. Has many different heads for different international sockets.

Turns one USB C port into a few different plugs.

Has 2 USB C ports. 2 USB A ports and 3 240ACV ports for pretty much anything.

A small bundle of a few different international head adaptors for the Tofu Maru linked above.

Wow, thank you! The first one looks particularly cool. Apart from the price . I don't travel a lot, I just do not like cables all over and I like to carry as little as possible with me while using one thing for all my gadgets . But I'm not prepared to spend a lot, I just buy bargains. Got an ultrabook recently and it looks so compact, usb c charging, I just hate to look at the power cord and charger, wanted something slim to go with it. My previous ultrabook was from Europe, the charger is so compact and light, obviously because it only has 2 pins.

The difference between the Mu and the Anker is that all the sleek and thinness of the Anker goes away when you pair it with a C7 cable that enables you to plug it into the wall. The Mu is thin, sleek and plugs into the wall with no additional cable required.
Only £3 for a 3.m uk plug lead with a switch from Ikea - Ikea 3.5m figure 8 lead with switch

I use one of their 2m extensions with an existing multi usb adapter when I go on holiday - 2m extension £3.50

Thanks I agree had so many issues in hotel rooms, only 1 socket or difficult to access sockets or socket where adapter converters fall out. Hence a unit like this with multi connections and c7 connectivity is the future.
Is anyone else having a £4 postage fee added

I love the fact you're describing a connector first made at least 50 years ago (probably 70 although I can't find the date) as the future. It's still good and actually rated to take something like 2.5 amps/600 watts.
