Spec's and description below:

The all-new 2nd generation Anker® Astro3 recasts the possibilities of mobile power. Keep multiple gadgets powered up better than ever, whatever your adventure.

Packed with power.
We figure, the more power, the better. Packed with 12000mAh of juice, and featuring an energy efficiency rate 10% above previous generation Astros and many current standard alternatives, the new Astro3 charges the iPhone 6 times and large-capacity phones like the Galaxy S4 almost 4 times. Keep multiple devices going yourself, and still have juice left to share.

World's fastest.
Waiting was never fun, was it? That's why we created the new Astro3 with a Smart Port that detects USB pin signals to identify your device - whether Apple, Android, or even the Samsung Galaxy Tab - and charge it at full speed. With two additional ports, no need to wait in line either.

Double take.
Chic and minimalistic, the new Astro3 may feel reserved at first. But, a friendly "shake" reveals its warm inner light to display the power level or begin your charge. Generous, cool, and delightfully intuitive, the new Astro3 is perfect for your next adventure, or just the daily grind.

For optimal use.
• For simultaneous, max-speed charging of your Astro and other devices, check out Anker's new 25W 5-port wall charger or dual-port 24W car charger.
• Compatible with all Apple and Android smartphones, tablets and other USB charged devices with a 5V charge input. The iPod nano and some GPS and Bluetooth devices are not supported.

Get to know us.
The Anker Astro external battery has been voted #1 in class by thousands of online reviewers, while our renowned customer service has made us a fan-favorite across the web. Every sale includes an 18-month, worry-free guarantee to prove the importance we set on quality. After all, we're customers too.

•Charges the iPhone 6 times and large-capacity phones like the Galaxy S4 almost 4 times with the industry's highest combined charge output of 4A among three charging ports. One Smart Port (5V / 2.4A max) offers truly maximum speed charges to ANY device, including the iPad or even the Samsung Galaxy Tab. 2 additional ports charge Android smartphones at full speed.
•High energy efficiency rate, 10% above previous generation Astros and many current standard alternatives, gives you up to an extra full charge for your smartphone. Sturdy construction and matte finish withstands bumps and drops. Grade A cells and premium chips ensure reliability.
•A "shake" starts a charge or displays the remaining power level. The ultra-low power consumption (100, 000 shakes consumes less than 1%) Smart LED display, designed with 10 LEDs, balances accuracy and aesthetics.
•Input: 5V / 1.5A; Use a 1.5A adapter (not included) with the included USB cable for fastest charging time (9 hours).
•Package contents: Anker® 2nd Generation Astro3 External Battery, Micro USB cable, travel pouch, instruction manual.

unfortunate product name

I have an earlier model of this and couldn't live without it.

Not as bad as those tablets.. Ainol!

Looks like an unrealistic RRP so it looks like a great deal. Is still a good price though but hate it when retailers do this with the rrp's

true

bit like silly company name such as siemens, smeg

and drinks like pu**y

I have this exact model and it's a heavy beast. Great price for a top brand.

I bought this deal last week! Heat for posting it!

Its a brilliant battery and although not pocketable its not actually that heavy and bulky and will happily live at the bottom of my work bag I also think its small enough to live in the outside front pocket of my duffle coat.

Great! Just ordered one. Could really do with something like this for work when I out and about and need to charge my phone.

Here's an alternative - 12000mAh PowerGen for £24.99, no code needed.

Excellent, just ordered two and the code works fine.

"The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

Didn't even know this sort of thing existed oO So you just charge this thing up and then you can charge your devices from it? Is that right?

I don't need this but I want it!

Voted hot as this seems to have a good rep.

No code needed but you do need to buy a cable to charge the battery with as it doesn't come with one.

It also doesn't charge from mains supply. It also is compatible witha smaller tame of devices.

I'd rather go with this one.

I bought a 5200mah Anker battery for my S4 , now only needs charged every 3 days!

Robbery for that price.

Yep

I love the idea of these and it's a great price, but I just can't see a time when I'm without mains or my car and require to charge a device.

Heat added.

Heat. Cracking deal

I have this exact one - build quality leaves much to be desired. It feels cheap and not that solid. There's also a built-in LED flashlight that starts when you double click home button (happens by accident more often than you'd think - power button is TINY). LED is bright but has a horrible blue hue. I'm beginning to think mine may be defective but it takes an entire night to charge (sometimes not even fully) and it seems to discharge quicker than my devices are actually charging.

Although I have no experience with this 'Anker', I'd suggest paying the extra for it as I just can't help but feel you'll get a better experience with it. Still, this is just my opinion...

I have one, it charges from the mains and comes with a cable with a bunch of adapters (inc micro usb you can use to charge it). As the other person mentioned, I hope the Anker has slightly better build quality though.

Just trying to help

I bought the Anker Astro E5 15000mAh which was on sale recently, it's brilliant at charging my Galaxy S4 can also charge a ipad. Not that heavy I use it all the time does about 8 charges of the S4 before it needs recharging itself. Hope that helps.

Anyone tried one of these on a PS Vita?

not needed but bought anyway as I will be travelling to london for some late xmas shopping and might just come in handy for mobiles tablets etc whilst there

I just tried this and the code deducted £7.20 making total £32.78. Has it gone up?

I have one and it's good. Comes with charging lead. Only been out a few months, so never been sold at rrp. I paid about gbp30 at launch, from Amazon sold by anker.

didnt need one but just bought as I will be visiting london with wife n kids for the sales. should be good as I have an s4. wife has iphone. son has ipad and daughter has a tab 2. my only worry is that as this will only be needed once in a while when travelling. ...the battery may start losing its performance?
