Not always true. I like to fly from Birmingham and it's less hassle for me to go to the airport there and change planes on the way than it is for me to get to Gatwick or something

No big difference if you have a short time between planes, much better than the long travel to a distant airport. Not disagreeing with you, flying direct is better when it works for you, it just depends on the itinerary and the starting airport. This deal is likely to be from London anyway so it is worthless to me.

be interesting to see the details of this tomorrow.

So what difference is it? Gatwick to mcarran is 10-11 hours max. I've done a connecting flight before and travel time was 17hrs! Defo not worth the £100 saving!

Depends where the stop off is. If its half way into the journey it could be good as it breaks it up a little. It means you also get to stop somewhere you may not normally go. Not that you get to see it, but you can still say you have been there.

Indirect flights are not for everyone, but if people are happy to take one for a reduced price I don't see what your problem is, at the end of the day it is personal preference.

Haha, well that can happen if you don't book carefully I flew to Argentina last week, 55 minutes between planes was my stopover and I flew from Birmingham. So that works for me, if there was a direct flight from Birmingham then maybe I would have taken it, but for me I'd rather spend the £100 at the destination and not spend time on trains to the south of England. Just my opinion, not instructing people what to do.

Good point! Just give me a 10hr flight job done deal any day of the week! Over a 15-20 hour journey with even worse jet lag than normal!
