I've seen it cheaper. I paid £109 for this model on Bluetooth 14 months ago. Having said that, it's a great product and use mine regularly. Still well worth it at this price level!
Wifi cooking £149, burning your house down, free.
If the house smoke alarm goes off...
It's done...! 😁

Using hot water to burn down a house? Impressive.

Its an exposed element that clamps to a pan, what if you don't clamp it right, what if it boils dry etc

There is a sensor which switches it off if the water level gets too low.

Which also means that if it isn't clamped right (I've got one, it's near impossible to not clamp it right) and falls out (which just won't happen!) the unit switches off

I have a few questions....
I expect that the next Bluetooth iteration will facilitate the use of urinals.. If the world weren't already mad, it's certainly on the way.
bluetooth cooking? could someone explain?

You can look up recipes on their website on your mobile and send the information to the device by Bluetooth.
Plastic bags disintegrate when heated and release carcinogens . Much safer and faster to use Pressure Cooker . Also no nutrients lost in pressure cooking compared to this plastic bag cooking technique.

Your very trusting of technology looking after itself while your not there, do you often go out leaving your indesit tumble dryer on aswell?

It's an LG dryer. Yep
I don't get Bluetooth on this, but WiFi makes more sense. I'm going to avoid both though, and buy a Wancle from Amazon - slightly cheaper and apparently a lot better than the Anova.

You have to use the right bags - not hard to find, buy a bit of a ballache.

It's completely different to pressure cooking - arguably less versatile and only really well suited to protein. A great way to cook steak (even cheap steaks turn out great). Brisket can take 48 hors, but worth it - chicken and eggs also worth it.

It wouldn't be on anybody's list of essential items in your first kitchen, but I don't regret buying mine for a fair bit more than this price..

I have to disagree. Totally unnecessary equipment , can even cause cancer due to plastic carcinogens leached into food. No one is going to tell if there bisphenol or other carcinogens in your plasmic bag. Much safer with steel pressure cooker, food cooks much faster and more delicious than this slow cooking in plastic wrap.

Wow - yet another troll...

You haven't and won't try a method favoured by some of the world's top chefs, yet you feel you are qualified to say that food cooked in a pressure cooker will taste better.
They are fundamentally different cooking methods which you would use for completely different cuts of meat.

Where is that block button?

Just because I don't agree with you , I am a troll . How convenient. But Cancer is real and be careful of plastic and chemicals in your food . You can never be too careful . If you go to Asia or Africa they do not get Cancer like the modern world due to their primitive cooking methods.

Risks aside. A pressure cooker is nothing to compare by. Pressure cookers are great for some things and I use both. Good luck cooking a perfect edge to edge steak with no colour banding or loss of moisture.... chicken breast 60°c and perfectly juicy..... Pork fillet.... salmon.... etc..etc. I get the plastic thing but you cannot in anyway compare sous vide and a pressure cooker. Don't be such a delicate butterfly, you can find evidence that most things are going to kill us. I've yet to see a death attributed to sous vide and most decent restaurants use this method for a reason. Live a little, take a risk and stop being a HUKD bore/scaremongerer.
