Would definately have gone for one of these if it wasn't low profile expansion cards only. My sat card and CPU cooler mean that is a no go :x

would this not house a full size PCI-E GPU card?

no

cool, looks like and 80's vcr - shame about the smaller hight I would have got one of these. Is there a good small GPU that is goof for 1080p decoding?

You could put one of the new AMD 785 chipset motherboards in it with build in ATI HD4200 graphics then you wouldn't need a seperate graphics card.

I meant to post this last night after the buyer at Ebuyer posted about it on the forum there as its a great price for this.

Good HTPC case, I have a similar Antec Fusion case and they are very good quality. Mine takes full size cards though

My system uses a AMD 780G so can decode HD without a dedicated GPU. That doesn't help the quality soundcard, sat reciever card and freeview card at all though. Half height slots really limit your options and you usually end up paying far more for any extra boards.

Wish this was a proper Veris or a similar deal on a good Silverstone chassis. My wait for the right case continues

Great deal, shame I cant afford it right now

Looks horrendous IMO but great price drop.

I've got one of those glossy black cube cases in the living room and think it looks super. Each to their own I guess but the cube cases go way cheaper, fit normal sized cards, look great and are smaller than this.

a mate had this case - be aware its not very good build quality, the cd panel was broke and took 9 months for a replacement to be sent!!

gettings hard drives in is very difficult, i think you have to unscrew the tft panel and put back on after.

I have an antec fusion case and its much better, its a bigger case but fits more inside.

yeah ...funny you should mention that i got it on pre-order

got the same case as well ..been sitting around doing nothing for about 6 months as was slowlign getting the parts ... only got to get processors ram and hd now .. window 7 on pre

I bought one of these about 6 months ago, works a treat. I personal find that the case fans are fairly quiet. Managed to fit in a 1TB 3.5" drive, a Bluray/HD-DVD combo drive, and a 2.5" 160Gb drive. Running an AMD 5050e. So all good, especially for the price.

Only pain was the low profile. Unfortunately, the gfx on the motherboard I bought wasn't powerful enough to do 1080p - either that or driver nightmare.
Anyway, I bought a low profile 9500GT 1Gb, and all is fine now.

Either buy one of the newer motherboards, or know that various low profile cards are available at not very much cost:-

Good value case for a HTPC, even though space for only one hard drive

If anyone wants a very good hdmi card for a HTPC try this ati 4550 link below from scan- with low profile bracket included, easily ok for 1080p but not really for gaming (quiet fanless design too)

Stay away from intel onboard graphics chipsets IMHO - From experience they are a pain to get working and intel driver support is rubbish. I have onboard graphics suitable for 1080p and hdmi, disabled this as the £30 Ati solution works, the Intel didn't

Cyberlink Media Center Remote Control - With Mini USB IR Receiver, beats the pants off the Antec one £5.75

£54.98 for both. You'd really have to attached to that old fashioned VCR look to go for this instead hehe

Hi sorry, can anyone recommend a media pc that is already equipped and configured?
i.e. off the shelf and ready to go?

Thanks.

Belated...
Someone pointed this out in another thread and it's a beaut (imo)
