Dangerous
Car seat designers spend millions on research and design to make the products safe, then people add something like this totally undoing all the work. Not to mention possibly putting the child in danger.

u gotta ask yourself... if this is such a good idea why don't the car seat manufacturers make this standard?

Im sure children being stuck in burning vehicles is one of the reasons... dont mess with safety equipment!!!
Yes I did ask myself why they don’t and why USA do with a population of 50+ million
personal choice we are not here to judge others
used for a few weeks , it’s was amazing ! My child broke the happen, no more stress of him flying through a window
The blurb seems to stop short of saying its for a car seat. Looks like its aimed house chairs and the such.
Although in relation to car seats, do not use this.

Road car manufactures are bad examples, they work to cost and convenience in combination with safety. Motorsport is the place to look for this sort of thing Which is closer to kids seats anyway being multipoint.
But 3,5,6 point - there are very strict fit and fitment rules which must be obeyed. Otherwise it goes from life saving to dangerous.
It’s a tough call if your kid is a master of escape, what’s more risky: having them loose in the car, distracting you and potentially being more injured in a crash or not being able to extract them in the event of a fire from a crash? One is more likely, one potentially more serious... Besafe (the car seats we have) actually make a chest clip to suit their seats which we’ve had to use for both our littles to prevent them getting their shoulders out of the harness. Crucially though that’s designed so you can rip it off if you need to extract the child quickly (it would break if pulled away from the straps) and we got some reassurance from the fact the manufacturer sell it to suit their seats.

Yes, this is the issue with my autistic 3 year old nephew, he wriggles out, has no awareness of any danger, it's ok when both his parents are in the car as one can keep an eye on him, but when there's only one parent with him it's extremely difficult. My SIL even got pulled over by the police because although still sat in the car seat my nephew managed to get the shoulder straps free. Can't explain to him as he's non-verbal so it had to be this.
