Probably wrong day for these but if you prefer style / fashion over reducing energy consumptive / saving the planet these are great

There's a difference between not being particularly great at saving electricity and willfully wasting it.
Bought a couple 2 years ago.. lasted 2 weeks
Very low output but pretty to look at!
Bought these a few years ago from pound shop and lasted at least a year until I had to change it to an Alexa bulb
How are energy inefficient light bulbs a deal?
15 year life span (will only last 15 weeks)

Got one about 2.5 years ago for a hallway, still shines the same as out of box
Surprised you found anything for £1 in Poundland!
I love these vintage lightbulbs paid £7 each for 6 from Amazon for our industrial looking ceiling light. £1 is a great price if the quality matches
Good find and decent price for bulbs. More of a decor light rather then for illumination. Bought some led bulbs from same place a while ago and they’re well worth the quid.

Yep that’s the (obvious) point. These were always intended for limited decorative use not energy saving. A bit dim to think otherwise in fact ;-
I'd personally avoid buying things like bulbs from poundland. As others have said, the lifespan is usually a joke. But worse still, is the safety issue; I know the bulbs in OP's post aren't standard halogen, but as a student I bought a pack of standard halogens from poundland to replace some at student halls. We had 2 bulbs blow apart over our heads within 1 day (literally glass blew off the metal ring when switched on, and shattered glass everywhere). Never again!
