£2.99 Not £299.00 Sorry First Timer

At times you wonder whether these straps are any good, as far as security is concerned

Many years I flew to Johannesburg, only to find my suitcase almost empty when it arrived on the luggage conveyor. It had been locked too.

there I was in a hot sunny country, wearing a dark suit with nothing esle to wear. Felt like walking back to the plane !

Surely if anyone is determined to get into your case, the strap can just be cut. It's a bit pointless having a combination lock.

Still, good price compared to norm I guess.

my wife works for an airline, they use little padlocks when forwarding passengers luggage, not so much as for security, but to prove nothing has been taken. Likewise it's useful for you to be able to prove someone has opened the case by showing a broken lock. A baggae handler will be put off more because of this reason than the lock itself.

The main reason for bag straps is that if the bag bursts open when being handled the strap will help keep the case closed and secure.
