Not sure if this is account specific, but I checked the Google Play app and saw in the movies and TV section any movie rental for £1.49.

Could be useful for a cheap movie night, sure you lose the movie 48 hours after you start it but it's like going to the cinema in a way... once you leave, you have to pay again to watch it again. Much more cost effective paying £1.49 also, could use the money you saved compared to full price towards snacks/drinks.

Offer expires 3 weeks after redemption

Hope this helps people get a cheap movie if it's not account specific... or if it is, hope you're eligible!

Nothing yet. Will decide at the weekend.

Cool! I got The Railway Children. A classic. Don't forget you can download films except on a computer/laptop, unless done via Chromebook I think. Downloaded mine for my holiday this weekend.

Cheers OP, think I'll go for The Shape of Water, missed at the cinema and been waiting to give it a viewing.

Just set up my new projector from Prime Day and this should be a rather good film to watch on it, made all the better as google gave me £2 free credit a few weeks ago.

Thanks again.
I'm working in Canada, just checked and it offers the deal for 99c ...Hot

No worries, how did you get £2 credit if you don't mind me asking? I got £2 credit towards an ebook but not a movie.

Enjoy The Shape of Water!
Thanks, got it too. Used to get free credit & offers regularly but haven’t for a while.

Most welcome I have 6 half price movie rental offers left from a promotion last year but expiring this August. I find that the more I spend through Google Play, the more rewards I get, so must be for loyalty.

Enjoy the movie

No idea why they sent me the credit, I randomly get emails with free credit in them.

Might have something to do with the fact I complained to them when I lost over £20 in credit as I didn't realise it had an expiry date on it and I told them it was stupid that they don't inform you before the credit expires. It might have something to do with that, but honestly I doubt it very much.
Nice find OP!

Welcome. Enjoy the film
Why doesn't Google Play Store have many UHD movies? It's such a small selection.
Well I paid nothing, as if you download the Google Rewards app from Play Store on Android you can get a decent amount of Google Play credit for filling in short multiple choice questions. I've had about £30 so far
Thanks used for the new Tomb Raider
GOT IT FOR 99P = THANK YOU

Likewise, for me it shows 99p rental. Could be due to me renting a film on another discount years ago, and getting one free rental with a Chromecast... Haven't even considered GP Movies since then!
Don’t forget you can watch on PS4 via YouTube app as well

I use that as well. However I use it on more premium items like game subscriptions and what not.
