Don't use on expensive knives. Completely ruins them!

Diamond precision lol
Better off giving the knife a couple of swipes over the bottom of a mug
I have this. Picked it up in the last deal a little cheap than this. To be honest it does sharpen them but not amazingly. It rejuvenated blunt blades to a certain degree but don’t expect miracles.
I've been happy with my £3 sharpening stone, and using a mug bottom for honing.
I have one also. Takes the metal off in spirals of swarf. Wouldn't recommend for knives that cost more than a couple of quid.
watched the amazon video and i was sold, then come on here and ive got cold feet........ please help- is this a worthy buy? my knives are really blunt .......

Average rating 4.5/5 from 14, 229 purchases. But, I think they're wrong and you're right username.already.taken.
This sharpener cuts a shallow taper in your knife blade.
While it makes it sharp, it ruins knives.

Use on cheap knives only - works well but ruines the blades
Got one and it will kill your knives.

Better getting a Lansky Blademedic. Easy one the Carbide then finish with the Ceramic. Also sharpens serrated blades...

Its aggressive, just right for blunt knives then finishing off with a few swipes on a steel.
I like to call this item the knife killer

Just ordered one of these after looking them up. Thanks
Got one of these. Works great. Not sure why all the negative comments. A coupe of swipes over this then re-honed and my knives are like new! Highly recommend it for knives where re-honing alone doesn't bring them back to full life!

It's pretty agressive and shaves off the metal.
The knives don't last long after using it. Good for cheap knives but don't use on decent stuff.
To sharpen a blade you have to "shave off some metal" where using a stone or bottom of a cup will do it gradually and take a few swipes. This does it in one go and does it quick!
Asda selling for a fiver
Agree with all of these comments, plus this is always this price isn't it?
