As a massive thank you to NHS workers for your hard work during the COVID-19 outbreak, we’re offering free delivery and free timeslots to fit around your shift patterns. That means you can choose what day and time (morning, lunch or afternoon) your delivery arrives at no extra cost. Just use your NHS email address when placing an order and pay for your timeslot as usual. We will then refund the cost of the timeslot 3-5 working days after your appliance has been delivered. It’s all done automatically, so you won’t have to call us or faff around with discount codes

You always get free delivery with AO. As long as you’re not too specific.
I’ve just ordered from them earlier today and signing up for ‘health service discounts’ got 10% discount code!!
Good timing my oven just gave up and I am NHS. Thanks

Doing forget your NHS 10% discount on large kitchen appliances.

It's not quite free shipping. You pay the shipping, but you get refunded later. We got our delivery today. Paid £45 for specific shipping, but we'll get it back.
What about teachers who are still having to go into school?

I think you will find that a lot of teachers have been called back in (including myself) over August to prepare for the whole school return in September. Classrooms will have to be modified, a lot of lessons have to be put on pod casts etc etc. Summer holiday to where? European destinations have blocked tourists from the UK!
Back in March a mate of mine had a fridge freezer delivered by AO. The two delivery men were very cheerful about how "everyone in our depot is infected lol", then breathed all over him and licked their fingers to scratch off the stickers on the unit.

A week later he was struggling to breathe with blood pressure through the roof, running a fever, unable to get out of bed, had splitting headaches and other symptoms which lasted over two weeks. His wife also got it and at something like 8 weeks later still has worrying symptoms.

Hopefully AO delivery people are taking the situation a bit more seriously now.

Sorry but what about the teachers? Most of them are on a rota and are not required to go into school everyday. What about the shop workers, the postal workers the cleaners and all the other key workers. I work in utilities and since this started I have not had a single day off and even cancelled annual leave to cover people who was ill or shielding.
Nice deal. FIRE!

This has been ongoing for a while :
