500:1 contrast ratio is slightly low, but otherwise pretty decent. Good find

very nice find moorish the prices of the TFTs are really going down

So... this item is collect at store only, how would i go about getting one at this price if all my local stores are out of stock? any suggestions?

Nice find but the other thing it lacks is speakers. I find it useful to have audio coming from my monitor when I don't care about quality and my main speakers are turned off. Just a small thing but worth mentioning...

I've just done some quick research (I’ve either going to get a HDTV but it won't be "true" HD thought ("720p"/1280*720... true HDTV is 1080 "1920*1080 but costs silly money) or a new LCD monitor... Any how... turns out that it's a good idea to find a LCD monitor which has a dot/pixel pitch of 0.26mm or lower, this one has 0.285mm... that could be due to it being a 19inch monitor or that it's a wide screen... but what it basically means is that you won't get as sharp screen as other monitors "but" at this price... does it really matter?

P.s thanks for the post, it's helped me learn more about LCD monitors.

another one of PC World's so called great offers if u can find any stock!!!!

Is this actually available anywhere?

3 in Basingstoke apparently.

Hi there just read the posts bout the pc world monitor. i work for dsg. just to help you out on the stocking issues:

if the product ends in 97 pence it is discontinued, and therefore there will be limited stock. most likely there LDC or even Hub distribution will no longer be churning them out so store stock is all there is.

the net search for the reserve and collect will not tell you the complete truth. the stores have to have a minimum of 4 of the item for it to show up, this is to cover for sales people selling it before the stock room guys get to it.

the reserved item is not garunteed yours.

most likely in busy periods they wont get round to putting it aside, especially if you orderd it an hour before going in.

Hope this helps, i suggest either phoning or going in and asking for it that way they can check stock for you, also they CAN bring up the stock of any other DSG shop for you .

Have a good christmas and a great new year :santa: .

Thanks for the insider info Husky. Welcome to ther HUKD forums!
