No digital input which is a real shame.... often wonder why manufacturers bother with hi spec displays without dvi/hdmi. It's akin to watching HD via scart.

Isnt this one a better brand and design?

Just a suggestion for extra £10?

And it has DVI too, worth the extra for that

But the HP screen is smaller, much lower resolution, and refurbished.

That's b******s - use a DVI to VGA adapter and you will have a fantastic image, incomparable to a HD signal over scart. Jeez...the comments on this site...

Fantastic price for a 22" monitor. Thanks OP - just bought one.

Good price for a basic Full HD 22" monitor.

lol at the scart comment, so untrue.

Well said.

I personally found an analogue signal on one particular LCD monitor to be quite fuzzy and the use of a DVI input (it would accept either) solved the problem. However, this may differ between monitors (and I have a 720p projector connected via VGA and the quality is not materially worse than a digital input).

HDCP?

Very good price, all comments apart, for the size and spec hard to beat.

HDCP?

How would that work without a digital connection?

In brief, no!

Well no, it's not, it's akin to watching HD via component.... which is actually fantastic!

Be sure to complain if you cannot get the freeview to work............

This is a really impressive monitor, I bought this out of neccesity last month from the Currys store for £110 and expected AOC to be some cheap imported carp but it wasnt, the screen is crisp @1920x1080 and looks super sweet with the glossy surround. Thinking of getting another to duel screen them.

Can you share more of your knowledge and tell me how I make it multi region?

I sold a nearly new Acer monitor the same spec as this for £50 last week, didn't realise they were still so expensive to buy new.

It's for tax reasons. Although the EU have talked about changing it, I believe the situation is still that the import taxes for screens with a digital connection are higher than for screens without (they are classed differently).

yh same thought as quite a few peeps do dvi or hdmi but still as nice monitor or those wh0 dont require these inputs, nice spot

I'd be wary of AOC monitors - my last office bought about 10 of them for the print designers.

2 broke within about a week (big dead pixel patches) and the rest were roundly rejected for having poor colour.

I refuse to become the next Loughborough Guy.
