The 1ms response time is not gtg

Gtg?

The one millisecond response time is not going to get any cold votes from me

From memory this model got a really good write up for the price from Hardware Unboxed/Techspot, and they go into great detail for monitors.

I bought this last November from CCL for £169.99. It is superb.
Great monitor, not using for gaming though. Hooked up to surface book and screen quality is great
Very nice monitor for the price.

Right, but its IPS and the gtg is 5ms which is very good for IPS. And negligible difference between 1ms to 5ms. I have this monitor and it is great for gaming the 144hz refresh rate is such an upgrade. For 170 pounds snap this thing up right now. This is the lowest I've seen it for (30 pound below what I bought it for.) This is the best budget 144hz IPS monitor hands down. Here is a link to an excellent review on this monitor
Have this and it's great IPS 144Hz 1080p

Would recommend the lenovo one for 199.99 if you can get the discount, 2k and top quality.
After a 144hz monitor .. what's this one like compared to the LG Class UltraGear 27GL850-B, the Acer Predator and the Benq Zowie XL series?

the LG is 1440p and 27 inch 400 pounds+ and the AOC one is 1080p and 24 inch 200 pounds or less. I don't know exactly which acer predator monitor you are referring to. There are many different types. The BenQ monitors have a TN panel which is good for gaming as it has very low response times, but suffers from poor viewing angles, bad contrast. I would recommend an IPS panel over a TN panel as it has much more accurate colours, the AOC monitor doesn't really have any competition at this price. What are you using the monitor for?
I have 2 of the 75hz versions of these for WFH as a software dev who enjoys a bit of gaming on them sometimes. Really happy with them!
Finally bought a new monitor, this one! Had my dell since 2011 probably, just a 1080p 60hz ips, doesn't even have HDMI ports. Been waiting for this one to come down in price/in stock. Wasn't sure whether to go to 1440p but it's a lot more expensive. Want to upgrade PC next, still got a 2500K and GTX970 graphics.
