A gaming monitor for under £200, G-Sync, 144Hz, LED, TN Panel, this is one of the most best rated monitors on a budget , take my word, I've been monitoring (No Pun) it for a while ...RRP is usually £280 so this is STEAL

Looks good and is well rated.
Scan.co.uk Review

24 inch? 1080p? You're 'avin a larf mate!

A gaming monitor needs to be 27 and 1440p at least, otherwise what's the point?

Hedgy has spoken, and there shall be no argument about my statement.

S*** i just ordered this monitor on SCAN, i am trying to cancel but have ordered on Currys also now lol, under UK law i'm able to return a item for 14 days with no reason anyway so it should be fine.

Phone them and cancel it. Or ask for them to price match. You can cancel currys easy

Well luckily scan have accepted my cancellation for £300 so i can now buy it for £200 on currys thanks OP

would be all over it if it was a 27"

I have a 40 inch 4k phlips bdm4065uc which is great for productivity, i felt a 24inch 144hz g-sync next to it would be perfect for gaming

Yes the newer(?) Freesync model, this is the G-Sync one which only works with an NVidia card

Pretty sure g-sync and freesync models can't really be compared as newer or older think they both came out same time, but simply Nvidia g-sync module is expensive.

Not in that way they're different technologies but Freesync came way after G-Sync so this would be a new model of what appears identical SKUs minus the Nvidia module. I didn't see that monitor doesn't have HDMI or DVI, just a single DisplayPort which is ridiculous, contemplating canceling my order now.

HDMI would be pointless with G-SYNC (or does HDMI 2.0 support that now? not up to date sorry), DP is the future so it makes sense for that to be on there, HDMI would be nice too but for £200 i'm not bothered about that.

thanks op. was waiting for it too. I already bought the aoc pqu model weeks ago, but this will be a great addition as I've got the gtx 970.

What games are you intending to play at 144hz? i don't know how well the 970 would cope depending on game. (obviously g-sync will help with that though)

Everyone has different needs. This is ideal for those who don't have a 970+ gpu but want to play games at 1080p with settings close to ultra and still have a smooth experience. I've got a Dell s2716dg and it's perfect for 1440p but if I wanted to game at 1080p this monitor is excellent value for money.

im not really bothered to be honest. I do play csgo, Battlefield and other fps games, but it does make other games like the division and dark souls 3 a better gaming experience even if it doesn't reach 144fps/hz. I play Far cry primal on very high and I get between 80 to 90 fps. I mean with G-sync it's gonna be better of course, which I don't have on my current monitor. The pqu model

Not everyone can afford a 1440p 27inch monitor which comes with G-Sync and 144Hz refresh rate to go hand in hand with the expensive cards on the market, so this is a great monitor for if screen resolution isn't a deal breaker.

I own this one. High refresh rate kicks bottom in Battlefield and CS:GO, and most recently enjoyed Rise of the Tomb Raider which G-Sync helped smoothen out on the highest settings. (GTX 970)

However, sat next to my other IPS monitor the colours look washed out. So be wary if using for anything but gaming.

Looks good for the price. An affordable G-Sync monitor. Didn't think we'd be seeing those yet

Snobby gamers are one of the reasons why more people don't ditch their consoles for gaming PCs. The whole point is choice, this is a budget 144Hz monitor. And while I agree that the pixel density of 1080p at 24 inches is poor that doesn't make it a bad display in this case, it fills a niche nicely.

If it was 1920 x 1200 you might have a point, but it's only 1920 x 1080, which is an annoyingly narrow vertical resolution. Its like working in a letterbox. Come to think of it, where are all the 4:3 monitors? 1600 x 1200, those were the days....

serious heat, fantastic price for a g-sync monitor.

g-sync requires display port. if ur not gonna use g- sync, don't get this monitor. can get the EXACT same monitor minus g-sync for a good bit less. most budget g-sync monitors only have a dp port

Get a g-sync and there's no going back. Its a good compromise for a small monitor.

Bargain. I bought the freesync version of this monitor last month, despite having a Nvdia card as I couldn't justify the high premium for the g-sync version. Now I'm going to have to buy the g-sync version as well and replace my second monitor, damn this site

Shame Amazon doesn't have this at the same price. They have a much better return policy

Oh I dunno, I quite like 1080p for gaming. I don't use my desktop for anything else so it's never really bothered me.

It isn't even niche, it is one of the most common sizes, tied with THE most common resolution. If this had been posted two years ago people such as him would have been all over it, but now it is no good even though it is literally the same quality of display that was the standard not so long ago, just because some people on some computer forum have said so, and therefore the crowd must be followed.

How is 144Hz and 1080p at 24 inches not a niche? Cheap gaming displays at 1080p look best under 22 inches. People who have the hardware to push modern games at 144fps probably have the cash to buy a 1440p display. Why would I buy a 980 Ti and game at 1080p?

Its all personal preference I guess, I have been gaming at 1080p with a 24 inch monitor for years, you don't need to be gaming at 144fps to get benefits from a 144hz monitor lol, plus the sync tech is great for FPS.

I have a 23inch IPS screen next to a 27inch 3d tv and the 3d tv is wayyyyy too big for gaming. 24inches is just about right I'd imagine.

As I'm buying this, anyone fancy buying an IPS screen or a 3D tv?

Good value for a gsync monitor. Syncs the frames from the GPU with the monitor to reduce screen tearing.

Amazon haven't had stock of this for months now, and I doubt they would match this. 1st time I've seen it drop below £300 from a decent retailer.

lost count how many times I've returned items to Amazon without a problem. by far my favorite retailer, great return policy. in fact when returning an item recently it's automatically refunded me telling me to keep the item. I'm guessing the return cost was more than their profit as it was a fairly heavy door lock.
can only assume they have deemed you were abusing the policy somehow.

is this over kill for a ps4?
