Really good price for the features and response

Cheapest it's ever been full stop I think. It was £164.99 at Overclockers in January.

BURNING HOT. Absolutely amazing deal! Anyone who wants a 144 Hz monitor shouldn't even hesitate at this price!

1920x1200 MINIMUM, or no deal!

The panel used in this monitor is the M240HW01 V8. Same panel used as the ASUS VG248QE, BenQ XL2411T, BenQ XL2420T, BenQ XL2411Z. Stop with brand bias nonsense.

Indeed. Also it wasn't that long ago that BenQ were a bargain basement brand and now they're the automatic choice for a lot of people. If AOC keep coming out with competitively priced gear they will be fashionable soon enough too.

27" yesterday for about £180

I bought this monitor for my son and it's great got it for £145 from Amazon and worth every penny.
No screen tear or lag and the screen is actually a pretty good TN panel.
Only negative I could find is the monitor is a little bright even on setting 0 so if you suffer from migraines or head aches maybe avoid.
Other than that I recommend it as there is a lot of tech there for your buck

Probably a stupid question but is this monitor HDCP compliant?

My AOC 4k monitor was buggy and a complete mess. Took it back and went for a decent brand.

I picked this up in an amazon lightning deal two months ago for £145. It's good value, but not without a few issues...please see this thread forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho…699

What issues dos you personally have ?
My sons has been fine

I can run BF4 at 60fps, but at a push with few things off on my 60hz monitor... So would it run any different on this one?

If you bump your settings down, you can hit 144fps.

I run BF4 on ultra textures everything else on low.

Was hitting 144fps @ 1080p on a 970.

Nice except I only have a Evga gtx 660 ti sc 3gb

The monitor needs an unsigned beta driver to work properly and an icm profile applied to help with colour. I also run my monitor at 120hz so the colours don't look quite so washed out...my preference. Fullscreen corruption issues seem more to do with AMD freesync. Please have a scan through the overclockers thread, more knowledgeable folks than myself

You would still notice benefits from that, it should it 100fps so you could loc bf4 @100.

100 is significantly better than 60, its what i play at on my predator x34.

This,
other than that, great monitor (I've gotten used to the lowest brightness so its not really a complaint). You will spend the first 10 minutes of its life just observing your mouse and seeing how much smoother life is on this side of the hill.

I find 100fps is the sweet spot after that it's seems to be diminishing returns or Atleast for my eyes anyway.

A better idea would be Nvidia would stop all their priopertiary nonsense and support Freesync too...
...But I guess hell will freeze over first

must have missed it as back up to £195

Please don't expect to gain any benefit of using a 660Ti with a Freesync monitor. NVIDIA will not support Freesync so you will just have a high refresh rate screen, which unless you upgrade, will not serve much purpose on a older card.

Exactly what I was thinking. No point saving a few pounds if you lose 10% vertical screen space.

AOC have been making monitors for longer than I can remember, I still have a 19' & a 22' AOC that work perfectly and both are 10+ years old....

Probably will work out better for you, last time it was on lightning, picked it up for £144.99, can`t the understand jump to £156.68 considering it`s amazon gaming week, so if not in a rush it might be cheaper next time around.

I did look at this earlier, but didn't bite, I need a monitor for my son, I built a pc with i7 4790k and gtx970 for him, what's a good mid range monitor to use around this price, just getting a bit bamboozled with all the options

Edited by: "Superflyguy_uk" 9th Apr 2016

Did a ton of reading, reviews, videos, Reddit comments, etc. The AOC has some seriously bad colours so I didn't bite either. The two main monitors like this that most gamers buy are the BenQ XL2411Z or ASUS VG248QE.

I've just purchased the BenQ. Colours out of the box will be crap and need to be configured though. As said before all three monitors use the same panel but that doesn't mean they have the same performance.

Not bias, it's a statement of fact. It is the cheapest with this panel.
