Supposed to be Friday.

I'm going to be primarily going to be gaming in xbox one x and be 5 feet away from the screen do you think it will be big enough? Freesync is very handy for the x

VA Panel @ 75 Hz, but seems to only work at 75Hz with FreeSync cards if I understand correctly

Although XBox One X supposedly supports 1440p, it will depend on developers including 1440p modes in their games. Not sure if there are any that do? I suspect that most games will only output at 1080p or 4K resolutions.

Ordered,thanks op.

This or the LG 29 inch ultra wide for office productivity? Mostly opening multiple Windows

not sure if to buy this .. i use my monitor for console gaming too..

Ordered one. I thought it was a bargain at £250 so £200 is a no-brainer for me.

Good deal!

Is there a way to wall mount it?

I've been looking at this for a three monitor setup for stock trading as well as some light gaming.

It ticks all of the right boxes. Displayport, 1440p resolution, mva panel (very similar to IPS), 5ms GTG (grey-to-grey) and amd freesync.

For £200 it's a bargin

Ordered, thanks! This looks too good to be true.

This have speakers built in?

I think it's a bit big for PC monitor. Is there a 27" alternative?

nope

Pre-ordered. I'll cancel if anything else comes up.

Same as. Great value all the same.

nope

Can't have everything I suppose as still a bargain

It's got headphone jack though

I assume this being a VA panel it will have higher ghosting than other IPS monitors?

I was tempted by the HP Omen 32 at £120 more than this with identical specs. The recurring problems with that seems to be bad ghosting and issues running 75Hz on Nvidia cards.

Either way, this seems like a cracking deal. Might order.

Can anyone confirm on ghosting experienced on VA panel

Original Poster

I have the Omen 32, set the refresh rate at 75hz and no ghosting.

Any good with a gtx 970 even though this is Freesync

Would this be any good for a Radeon RX 580R (4 GB) graphics card on my son's system I've got from the Currys deals a few weeks ago?
Maximum resolution:
DisplayPort resolution: 5120x2880 @ 60 Hz
HDMI resolution: 4096x2160 @ 60 Hz
NOTE:
Not all ports support the highest resolutions.

He also plays the ps4 but just on a TV so I'm wondering if it would be better to get one where he can do both on the one monitor?

Looks great value for money, I'm tempted. Just not sure whether to spend a bit more and get something with a higher refresh rate or even g-sync

Aren't gsync and Freesync basically the same thing just for different graphics cards?

Gsync monitors tend to be far more expensive.

I think freesync is a far more open format

Really wondering if to hold out for HDR monitors. No idea what's taken them so long to catch up...

this seems to be only 60Hz from looking at the spec not 75Hz as I first thought, think ill go for the HP Omen instead

It's 75hz says it on overclockers website

Looking on the actual aoc site it says 60Hz and the attached website also says only 60Hz.

Hmm bit false advertising then? But still for the price still good, as looked at the omen cheapest it's been is £300 but stays around £380 for 32inch version

the only downside I see is no adjustment in the base and lack of VESA mount to fix that

Really good

The Aussie AOC site has more info than the UK aocmonitorap.com/au/…395

Q3279VWF

Scan Frequency

VGA/DVI: 30~99KHz (H) / 50 ~ 76Hz (V)
HDMI1.4/DP: 30~114KHz (H) / 48~76Hz (V)

Recommended Resolution
DP: 2560 x 1440 @ 75Hz
HDMI1.4: 2560 x 1440 @ 75Hz
DVI: 2560 x 1440 @ 60Hz
VGA: 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz

Perfect it is 75hz 2560x1440p

Freesync works only with Amd cards and XBOX ONE X. G Sync works only with NVIDIA cards.
