sorted by1. OP mentioned that this will remain relevant for years with the new line of CPUs on the way. Unfortunately, this is not the case as the new line of Ryzen processors will require an AM5 motherboard. Ryzen 5000 are the last generation of CPUs that this will support (which are about to reach end of sale).
2. Gigabyte's support material - manuals and software can be challenging to navigate. They're written by natively non-English speakers materials aren't always clear to use. When things work, no problem, but if you're in the situation where troubleshooting is required, and you have to load Firmware through Q-flash plus for example, you'll be referring to a lot of forums for assistance.
3. ITX generally has to compromise on features. I love that this comes with Bluetooth and Wifi 6, but other premium features such as dual-bios, diagnostic code LEDs are not included. If you're machine doesn't POST, you're flying blind and will have to go through basic diagnostic routines to find the problem.
I've build machines with both the X550i and X570i. Build quality has been great on both, and they've given me everything I've needed to under and overclock appropriately.
To those asking - there's a USB-C port at the back, if I recall (built for someone else) but no header for USB-C. Just a standard USB 3 header.
Doesn't like it has it to me either, just odd some people say it has it. Can only assume their getting it confused with the USB C on the back
I got it for £108 in a deal so can't really complain. (edited)
haven't got case, ram or coolers yet but gonna keep a lookout. slowly piecing this build together.
thanks for posting. (edited)
Found it simple enough, no issue with manual what so ever, and it has been flawless since day one.
My next Build will defo have a gigabyte motherboard high on list of candidates.
Yes no USB-C header but I can honestly say that has not mattered a jot.
