Great price for a 4 pack of smart sockets with energy monitoring built in. Tick the £5 discount box to get the £31.99. So £8 each with Amazon Prime. Quality seems good and the app is easy to use.

Alexa, Echo, Google, IFTTT compatible.

For the teckies out there, you can also flash these with Tasmota using the latest Tuya Convert and control them with Home Assistant / Node Red.

I think you are talking about the basic ones without energy monitoring. These have never been lower than this. Check it on 3 camels.
Ikea ones are £8 for 1. Same same?

No. They have no power monitoring ability. Just simple switches.

Oh i’m plugging in a lamp so I guess power monitoring not really too useful? Is it just for energy bills?
Very good, been using for almost a year

Yes exactly. More useful for higher energy usage products like white goods. But at this price they are about the same as the simple switches anyway so why not!

With power monitoring you can detect the status of plugged device too and switch additional light etc.
These are rated only 13A and don't fit well with the switched socket but are very usefull anyway.
I’m familiar with Tasmota, but I’ve never used Tuya Convert for flashing. Anyone got any pointers for me?

This covers it very well. Fairly complex but once it's done once, it's simple to replicate on future devices.

It's Apple - Of course not! Wait for 3 years and the revolutionary iPlug will launch. About £100 but it will pair really easily and will instantly become the world's biggest selling smart plug.
Sonoff S26 have been under £6 each
