Really atrocious quality from this brand & plenty of false reviews.

Thanks

No worries, I bought two which were majorly over hyped & the seller was offering freebies & codes in the box for 5 star reviews.

I don't mind an honestly written review from a product tester, i've done it myself for things I want / need, ..however you know how the plethora of freebie grabbers who actually cannot nail a coherent paragraph operate, & it is good news for sellers of this brand, I reported it to amazon but nothing happened. besides the old "passing it to another dept" ..yeah, the department of IDGAF

Also, these sorts of camera atypically come with a hard wired cig lighter usb which likely just messes up your pre existing set up or downgrades the usb capability, so that is something else to think on..

Ali express do micro usb connector hard wire kits with a piggyback fuse blade for a spare car fuse socket (check a car owners forum for which is spare / which are in use) ..about £4. a pop, that runs cable tidily to make it a nicer "minimal visible wiring" job that in all likelihood can be done in about 15 minutes.
Blades fuses come in micro, mini, and standard ..for the majority. ..it is easy to get those connectors from ali express also in case you have never checked out your car fuse board.

Helps de-clutter the dashboard & folk um & err over connections compared to the units quality.

For "cheap" i've had good success with Aukey, even to the point of making a claim for warranty replacement. (the software glitched, I got a new one & the old one suddenly cleared itself).. likely residual power depleted & re-set itself.

The Aukey DR02.

It's usually available on amazon for around £40 - £50 for the single camera.
Watched a few reviews of this camera before I purchased. Front camera in my opinion is good enough quality for the price however the rear can be a little poor.
Personally wasn't looking to spend a fat lot of money just something that would pick up license plates in front of me or prove that someone has gone into the back of my car if I needed too.
Must agree with the comments above the Hardwire kits do allow for a neater install and are worth a purchase
I've had an Apeman for a couple of years now. Never had an issue with it. The rear isn't that great, but you can make out plates. The front camera takes a good wide clear picture. This is about half the price I paid, I think it's a good deal.
Stick with nextbase brand for quality i have the 522 model hardwired and professionally installed for £200 from halfords
an old review of am older gen dash cam made by the same company .. which gives a fair indication of how good/bad it is review

again fwiw for a different model it is recommended by honest john website.
