its full price its cheaper on Amazon a lot cheaper on Amazon

£2300 - for this???! That's a serious slab of meat to lay down ...especially given that the specs are really rather unexceptional. This is surely going to be baltic cold!)

*Edit - I know it's a small issue given the wider issue of cost/value...but this seriously expensive bit of kit doesn't even have a Kensington lock point. Apple really are losing touch with reality

That is correct as amazon direct sell this for £2,054.94 so £244.06 cheaper actually. lol

2000 for laptop? thats Audi A6 2002

Though i remember when laptops came out and toshiba were one if not the biggest laptop makers

really? why would they take the Kensington off?! Someone stole a MacBook pro from where I work by snapping the Kensington off, the actually lock itself snapped, no damage to the MacBook!! The build quality is actually good, but not worth the price tag

The Retina screen is nice but seriously, 8GB RAM soldered onto the board with no upgrade chance? You can get a 16GB model instead but £160 extra for the additional 8GB is shocking...

Sounds like a pretty rubbish thief - they stole the Macbook by breaking the kensington lock, then returned the Macbook later to show that it didn't get damaged in the process!

Wow it's a £1000 laptop for double the money,,, HOT!!!

Thanks, nice to be appreciated :p.... Nice screen though, that got to be worth a few hundred pound... which in al honest probably takes it up to £1400

How is this a effin deal?!?!

It's the same price at Apple.

It's really not a deal in my opinion as this is RRP as you mentioned this is what they sell it for at Apple themselves so no idea what considers this as a deal if it's not below RRP and can be found cheaper elsewhere from places like amazon anyways.

What do you mean? only the poster/thief would know if the kensington lock had broke or the slot on the laptop
