This isn't the 2.4 ghz model

It is the Old one in the offer, but only a 0.1Mhz speed difference. Still a great bargain if you wanted a 15" MacBook.

I dont believe you can buy this anywhere else cheaper ( even Apple with student discount isnt as good ) - so has to be HOT for those in the market for one of these.

People should ONLY vote whether a deal is a deal and not whether the product is good or bad - its getting silly on here, eventually deals wont get posted because of the amount of misleading negative comments.

And who are YOU to say what people should or shouldn't vote for having never even posted a deal yourself?! If people are scared of getting their feelings hurt then don't post on an internet forum, a place known for inspiring people to take sides and light up with banter that may (shock horror) offend people. If I post a deal and people don't like it I'm not going to run off and cry, I might defend myself but that's about it.

I do see where he's coming from. votes are utterly moronic around here but as you say its a reflection of the type of people who come here, it doesn't make sense to complain about it. I don't judge any post by its heat any more and just look at everything.

this seems like a good deal to me and I hate apple stuff, so I will vote hot for you op :). sorry most voters (not commenters - as they are usually the more knowledgable ones) are retards but what can you do?

Fourteen hundred pounds for a laptop! oO

It may be a very good one but these Apple fanboys must be on something to fall for that!

They are not 'on' anything and do not fall for anything either. It is personal preference, they buy this because they see that it is a good product and can do on it what they deem as necessary.

I was hoping someone would explain why it's worth a multiple of other good laptops but that hasn't done it at all.

I am actually a windows user, but I am not against macs because I can see why someone would go for a mac. They are consistent, reliable and people do not necessarily buy them for the hardware or even design, but for the software and its capability.

I buy them for the design and hardware, not the other way around.

They're lightweight, beautifully designed, don't have useless components weighing them down like DVD drives. Have a great battery life, backlit keyboard & a great OS. The trackpad also increases productivity for me a lot. If I wanted to buy it for the software I would just install OS X on a normal laptop.

Normal Windows laptops weigh a ton, have hard drives not SSDs, are thick, have fans that are visible, have DVD drives and have a low battery life. They also come with a ton of bloatware, it's removable, but still. They also don't look pretty and they're plasticy.

You get what you pay for, if you want premium products, you have to pay premium prices.

Well like I said different people buy it for different things, yet some worry themselves over other people's preferences.

Im still selling one here, brand new, box sealed. never been opened.

£850 in cash?

Had offers of 950, 1000 and 1050 (waiting for a response from this person). So no, 850 not a great offer. Sorry
