It does have a look at the quidco website

OK, so it is the previous generation but that is not necessarily a bad thing as this model feature ATI Radeon GPU instead of Intel HD - which is a big thumbs up!
Either way, if the voucher works this is a stunningly hot deal!

Yes, it does work, I was trying it on a refurb and it was saying the code was invalid

It will work on a new one. Did you try that. Has someone else found a better deal

this is the old model. new model was released last week

So? Can you find this model cheaper?

I have this one and it's fantastic - I use for general use and run Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop with no problems - excellent price for a great piece of kit (the screen still blows me away)

To all those who are quoting old model get me the same model cheaper from anywhere else without education discount. It's an old model that's why it's cheaper

I wasnt knocking the deal, infact its a preety good deal. I was mearly stating its the old model.

I paid nearly as much for my IPad 2. This really is a hot deal - the time to go all Apple is here !

Could someone explain why is it cold then

I agree entirely.

Voted Hot too...

Good deal for this model - hot from me.

Cheaper to build a far superior desktop?

rash

Unless you have a pretty nifty milling machine, no.

It's £769 as a refurb from apple store:
store.apple.com/uk/…MjE

and this is new, not refurb - so heat added.

Chinny_racoon

Unless you have a pretty nifty milling machine, no.

its not going to have an apple badge on it - but it'll will be far faster? Amd quad core CPU was £50, plus £50 for mobo, £40 for GPU, £40 for HD, £40 for PSU, £40 for case £40 for accessories £60/70 for 8GB ram and £150 for screen.

Overall £530 - and £200 quid cheaper with double HD space and double the ram!

It's not an all in one though, which is appealing to a lot of people, mainly not hardcore techy people.

better than the newmodel... apparently hard drive is no longer user serviceable

Why does every one of these threads have to have some computer geek arguing you can build a butt ugly Windows PC with spaghetti junction cables everywhere for a much lower price? Are they so out of touch with how normal people lead their lives that they don't appreciate many us do consider things like form factor, style, brand, when purchasing items for our homes?

+1

Apple aren't for everyone, but they certainly tick all the boxes I want ticking. Treat the deal like any other deal - not through Apple hating glasses.

This is a good deal if you want one of these, so HOT HOT HOT
