I spotted this at the Teesside Park store in Stockton on Tees. The salesman said they had been reduced this morning - they were £918 yesterday, which is what they cost on the Apple store.

Can't find them on the PC World website, so I can only assume they are delisting them, which the salesman seemed to think might be right as he didn't think they sold many of them.

I've bought one myself, and the Teesside Park store had 3 more remaining in stock. I can't say whether this is a national deal - no doubt someone will confirm/deny this?

UPDATE 9TH JUNE - Confirmed to be the same price in PC World Bath, so potentially looks like it could be national

Store specific. Good deal if you can find one

Why it has posted the image upside down I don't know!

More overpriced CRapple gear, can see no good reason to buy this instead of a 32" LED TV from one of the big electronics builders.

What a rip-off. Almost twice the price of my 40" Samsung.

That's an excellent price for the 27". Put's it in the price ballpark of the Dell U2711. Hot if you can find one.

LOL - typical PCW deal. I went in to check out their Bargain Bin items, and they had an iPad cover (without the box), and a sticker price of £27. I went to double-check the price, just in case it was wrong. Lucky I did. The actual price was £31.
Only PCW can make a product more expensive by putting it in the Bargain Bin!!

S-IPS panel, LED backlit, built-in speakers, iSight & mic & magsafe charger, and best of all- 2560x1440 resolution....

It's an expensive monitor, fairly apple-specific, and as such not for everybody, but don't knock the deal, because its not a bad price! The Dell u2711h is one of the closest competing monitors, it generally sells for around £60 less than this, but although it has more connection options, it doesn't have half the other features (magsafe charger, iSight, decent speakers or dare I say it... aesthetics).

If I had the money at the moment I know I'd be making a trip to PC World! As such, I'll be waiting until the autumn when I get my HE discount again- hopefully there'll be an update for iSight HD and thunderbolt.

Its so frustrating that this is being voted cold not because its a bad deal, but because people are anti Apple.

The purpose of the forum is surely to let people know that there is a deal on a particular product. This represents a 20% saving on a high end product. Sure, its not for everyone, but for anyone in the market for this particular monitor I can't see it cheaper anywhere else by quite a margin.

Yes I can go and spend half this on a branded LCD TV, but there isn't an LCD TV on the market that I'm aware of that is capable of displaying 2560 x 1440 resolution, because they are all limited to 1920 x 1080. So again, its not the same product! I wanted a 2560 x 1440 monitor, and my options are this, or as a few people have mentioned the Dell u2711h which is similarly priced.

I challenge ANYONE to find a better price on this product.

Er, I did take it to the till and made the purchase. I paid £733.39.......

Great price for a 27" Cinema display, even as an Apple user I do have to agree i'd rather get a larger TV or panel else where to connect to my iMac. scrimp on style

Good luck finding an hd tv that does the same res can you guys not read!

i only like Apple products for their looks not their prices, but this is a decent spec monitor for the price.

Decent price if you can get it and LOL at the 'experts' that think that a TV is in any way a substitute for these higher-res panels.

I have to admit to being an ex apple hater (I didn't cold vote based in it) but I think those that do cold vote "Just don't get it" with Apple stuff.

I've recently bought a 27" iMac and the screen on it is simply the best I've ever seen, the Cinema display uses the same IPS panel from LG so will be equally nice to work in front of.

I don't get why people are comparing this to TVs. Completely different beasts.
For a start this is 2560x1440 which gives loads of screen real estate for apps.
Then it's an IPS screen.
Then there's the colour accuracy.
etc...

It's still expensive, yes, but if I had the money, I'd be in there.

Just bought one at same price from PC World in Bath - so isn't entirely store specific.
It's sealed as new and £185 off list price (unheard of for apple screens) so hot from me! Thanks OP.
