£2 more than mine

Why is the trade in so low? Advert says 'Save a minimum of £50 off the marked price on a new iPad when you trade in your old tablet' i.e. how can they only offer you £2 when it says minimum is £50?

Are you all missing this bit which appears below the valuation?:

I dont think they are going to pay up the trade in value as part of gift card and parallely reduce the price of the tablet by 50 quid.. Is that what you implying?

Unless you are some kind of artist/power user, Just get this ipad, the pro has bigger screen but outside that, you wont notice any different in everyday usage performance wise, so its not worth paying £300 for the pro.

What would be better to replace a laptop? We dont game etc on laptops but want a decent tablet that can probably be powerful enough to replace a laptop.

So do you get a gift card or money off the iPad? Still confused!

No.

Some comments are about only being offered £2 (or less) and I am just checking that they have seen the minimum £50 trade in offer which appears below the initial gift card valuation.

ths title says min £50, yet people are stating being offer £1/£2 for their tablet.
Is the promo definitely £50 voucher/money-off even for crappy old years old tablets?

the terms in that image seem unclear to me
"£50 Trade In Saving - when you trade in this device at a Currys PC World store and purchase an Apple iPad"
but underneath:
"Actual trade in value will vary dependant on device"

Well I've reserved one, got a Hudl to partex.

I've also printed off a screen shot, " Save a minimum of £50 off the marked price of a new iPad....". Its absolutely clear that this offer has set a minimum value on any old junk tablet that actually works.

It is a bit strange. On the product page it states:
Save a minimum of £50 off the marked price on a new iPad when you trade in your old tablet
Trade-in your old tablet at any Currys PC World store to save a minimum of £50 off the marked price on your next iPad purchase. For more information and to see what your tablet watch could be worth click here. Terms and Condtions apply. Offer ends 22/12/2017

But, it states 'on your next iPad' so does that mean when you buy another after you buy this one?

Can someone go and buy one then report back please?

IPad pro has a fully laminated screen. The Ipad does not have a laminated screen, it used to but Apple cut the quality with this new ipad. The difference is very noticeable according to what I've heard.

No chance of getting both offers applied to an iPad.

I think you guys are confusing a regular trade-in with the value of a device trade-in when you buy an iPad.

The way I read it, Currys will give you about £2 for any old tablet. But if you buy an iPad at the same time, you'll get £50 off your iPad.

As others have noted, I would assume that you can't use both offers (£50 trade-in AND £25 off) at the same time, but maybe worth a punt.

Brilliant deal!!! Not sure whether this will work in conjunction but it should....

cold, just got the ipad 128GB for £429 +£3.99 on the very.co.uk buy now pay later deal code see product page (ends tomorrow), will get a refund of 20% £85.80 on despatch (or at latest 27th dec17), then i have 12m to pay it off,
(otherwise 39% interest charegable from purchase date, setup a direct debit if you cannot manage money well)

that works out as £347.19, oh and i dont have to trade in my old ipad, that CEX (grade C) will pay £118 for.

this ipad would be £275.19 (I'm sure trading in your tablet elsewhere will save you a tenner to price match this deal)

the very haters can keep on hating...
Edited by: "whatyadoinsucka" 22nd Nov

Does anyone know if the trade in tablet actually has to work?

Only worth trading in a worthless old tablet. Wife's old Hudl is worth around 4p.

The refund that you would get, is that something you then further use towards payment of the device accordingly (statement credit) or do you get to withdraw the same to your bank account and then setup a DD to pay off over equal installments.. A little confused how this will work..

Depend what you use it for. I got the simple ipad for my son as he would not connect the keyboard and wont use the pen with it. Those accessories you only can use with the pro. The pro is bigger as well. The picture is better on the pro as well. If you have an apple store nearby have a look in there.

If anyone in the same situ. I ordered an ipad from John Lewis when they gave 3 years warranty. I contacted them now and they matched the price and payed back immediately. I am not gonna get the £50 tho, but I am happy with the 3 years warranty for a piece of mind.
