This phone is available for £17.45 direct with Apple over 24 months, granted with only a £20 up front fee (offset by the cashback if paid) The latter aside? It makes it £5.55 for 45gb of data a month?

Heat from me!
Does the average consumer really need/use this much data? Gimme less data and cheaper monthly cost!

Cheers mate, that's a very very good way of voting, just because you hate something, you can see past that and see the deal for what it is, appreciated by me.

This is tempting even though my current phone doesn't need replacing!
OBLIGATORY COMMENT: The new ones are due early next week.

There's an Apple event next week but it's expected the iPhone announcement will follow a few weeks later. All rumours at the moment - theverge.com/202…ies

Thanks! Updated my comment. The rumour mill is all over the place. If the iPhones don't appear next week then allegedly it will be a few weeks later - theverge.com/202…ies

I'm only interested because I want it to deflate the prices of these older models!

Yes it did. Its internals are based in the iPhone 11 and it's in the body of an iPhone 8.

I know, I’m typing on one. But the iPhone 12 launch isn’t going to affect the already budget pricing of the SE or plans with it in.

I think it already is - hence these iPhone SE offers that have been appearing lately (I have HUKD alerts set up for iPhones as I'm in the market for an iPhone). All I wanted to draw attention to, was that for the sake of a few weeks it might be worth holding on to see what the new releases do to the prices and to be certain that the 5.4 inch iPhone 12 isn't a replacement for this model of iPhone SE.

Maybe, as you believe, it won't affect the prices at all. Maybe it will.
Currently paying £10 per month each on Giff Gaff for sim only iPhone 6s's for me and the wife - this seems to be a bit of a no brainer.
I wonder if I would hit issues with TCB for two seperate transactions??

Try using two separate tcb accounts?

Or use TCB for one and Quidco for the other? (Quidco £42 vs £46.20 showing for me for TCB)

I'm with you, I managed on 1gb, for ages and my recently got 6gb per month. Have WiFi at home and work, plus hotspots etc. so if rather have some money off.

However, heat for both the phone and the data at this price.

Giffgaff charge £20 for 80GB and £15 for 15GB of Data.
So £23 +£50 f(minus any cash back) makes this deal very competitive especially considering you get a phone that will be supported long after the contract has ended.

So its hard to see it going much lower.

This morning I decided to go for the deal & got a product Red iPhone (I don't mind black or red)
This made me wonder how many iPhone se they had left.

Thanks @MrSwitch just made the wife happy ordered the red version for her. Was going to order the phone out right but with her current 30day rolling sim on top works out more expensive so saved me about £8 amonth and gained more data

Just wondering has anyone's cash back tracked yet?
Tried to get this for my daughter as iphone mad, however all went through but this strange company then cancelled the deal on me saying I failed their security checks......called to see why they would not tell me put I had passed o2 credit check. They have kept my £49.99 upfront cost, which was taken out my bank in an instant but they tell you it takes 3-5 days to refund....joke wouldn't not use them as they refused to budge or even say what the issue was.Note i have never ever been knocked back on any deal or contract before. Clearly this company not interested in take my money long term but nice for them to keep my upfront payment to sit in their bank!

Security checks could be anything, even just a typo in the address you ordered with. The contact centre should be able to clarify that for you and try again. Or you could check clear score or ukcreditrating free trial can amend any errors on your credit report.
