Apple AirPods @ Clearance Bargains Stanley - £79.99.
Never bought any, but everything here is sold as ‘reconditioned’
You get a 1 year warranty with the receipt.

So either, I’m guessing, reconditioned, customer returns or dumping excess stock.

Yeah I know, someone may have had them in their ears before!

Possibly an extra 10% off this week as part of their Black Friday deals...thanks dento535. (See comments)

Clear from the description.

Are you posting a deal eventually?

Great price OP, cheapest I have ever seen them.
I think it’s where they made them knifes , you know Stanley knife
you should mention in the title 'reconditioned' because it may misdirect people.
Little white plastic tampons that have been stuck in someone else's ear wax - yeah lovely !!

Bought a pair for this price a few month ago, they were in near perfect condition

If you’re paranoid you can buy rubber covers from eBay for a quid. Not just buy a bottle of alcohol handwash and give me a good soaking.
Used so does that mean they come with somebody else's ear fudge in them?
Hopefully the stock isn’t sourced from Stanley. The place is like the time forgot.

To be fair, these don't go inside your ears like regular earphones, so the "wax" argument is kinda weak.
Some isopropyl alcohol and all is good.
Good price assuming there is no marks or anything.

Getting closer to what these things are actually worth (still kind far away lol)

County Durham, DH90XG
Also Clearance bargains stores in Walsall and Corby.....stock does vary from store to store but most stores usual have the same items.

Odd that the location of all of there stores are in towns that look like Russia from the 80's.......

Not clear to me. Never heard of Clearance Bargains, and Google doesn't bring up a website or store location.

I'd thought we'd matured past the point of 'insulting other members because you've posted more deals than them' by now.

No, still happy to smoke out the 'users' on here.

The store location is in the title, Stanley, or did you think that was the OP's Grandad's name

Been tonnes of posts for the store, I think it's part of Argos?

Correct part of Argos, would say outlet but it’s kinda more like unwanted returns or out of season stock.
Must be

There is no website but Google brings up location If you search for "Clearance Bargains Stanley" and brings up the locations of the Walsall and Corby stores if you search for "Clearance Bargains"

Did they have many in ? I try to avoid Stanley if I can. It will be under 3 foot of snow at the first sign of winter.
Good price , hell I recently had to pay £77 for just one

Not sure sorry - I normally ring them first.
Looks like quiet few seller from Northumberland got there hands on it at eBay 🤪
May be a stupid question but can these be used with Samsung products and the like or is it iOS only ?
Good price for a terrible product, but I guess some people like them. Can’t really vote this down as it’s rare to see genuine ones at this price point, but really there are much better earphones than any of the Apple ones- nothing at all to do with the brand (I amwriting this on an iPad),they just offer awful sound quality.

problem is that with head/earphones particularly a low quality pair like EarPods (wired or not) will sound great/amazing whatever until you hear a good pair..most people won’t be able to really tell until then.

On the plus side it makes it easier to spot websites and magazines that are paid for positive reviews when you start to see places giving these 9/10 or higher same ones that have given fallout 76 the same score....

I disagree Spud. I find the AirPod quality is very good for something so small and convenient. They are so simple, slick and easy to use.

AirPods are superb for jogging, walking or just in the house. I’ve got some Bose QC35 headphones that I love but they’re bulky, heavy and not so convenient. I really love the AirPods and use them for audio books, Podcasts, BBC iPlayer as well as music and I’ve found nothing else comes close for the convenience, simplicity and ease of use. They’re easily worth the £159 full price that Apple sell them for and the audio quality is good.

Yes, but you then rely on conventional Bluetooth pairing which can be a bit complex and troublesome compared with AirPod pairing with macOS and iOS. Also note they have no volume control so you need to use your phone or computer to adjust volume.

So what would be your recommendation for wire free, in ear headphones? Genuinely interested as my daughter keeps banging on about getting air pods but I know she would lose them or break them immediately.

It depends on budget and what you want. If she keeps losing them then a wireless pair with a cord to connect them together (just the earbuds - it sits on the back of your nectk. Still wireless to your phone) is a good option, and something like the plantronics backbeat go will offer a slight improvement in sound quality over the airpods but for £50-60 brand new.

If you want truely wireless (i.e. no cable between the earbuds) then it's a bit trickier as the starting prices are about £120, but something like the Sony wf-1000x (120£) is a great option. Next level up I would be looking at the earin m-2 but they are over £200, and when you get to that level of investment you really need to try before you buy to make sure you like the sound profile.

Thanks, appreciate it. You just reminded me that I know someone who works for Plantronics - I might give then a shout.

Cheers.
