sorted bySure you're buying second hand instead of new (and I have personally not had much issue with CeX's B or A grade stuff), but when the second hand is covered for twice as long, combined with a discount for it being second hand, it becomes a decent option.
They’d fob you off in four years time anyway. First year Apple would repair for free under guarantee.
Agree. I’d only expect 1 year from Apple direct and no retailer support. I’m sure by then Apple will have a new model so you can bin these and upgrade if they break, it’ll have a few more features and cost 10-20% more
I’ve used the headphones few times before - quite comfortable, undeniably premium feeling (but heavy), sound quality is very good but honestly no better than cheaper competitors (Bose 700, Sony XM4s or AKG N700NCs) and they don’t come with a usable hard case which is a bit cheeky but expected. (edited)
It would not as you are not buying from UK retailer. You are only covered for a year in this case.
If it was not anything if caused I'd be taking them to the Ombudsman followed by the Small Claims Court (if they were based in the UK) as the retailer has to follow the UK law (but guess this does not apply to Amazon outside the UK?
I would expect these to last at least 5 years for the price so you would definitely have a claim if they failed in up to 5 years.
Cheers (was really asking for anything bought from non UK Amazon).
Cheers. 🏻 (edited)
You’re right. It’s a no. UK retailer so the UK law doesn’t apply.
For future UK purchases, which ombudsman covers consumer protection? Is it citizens advice?
Believe you go through here:

I've only had to use it once (2.5 year old Neff dishwasher went faulty so out of Neff 2 year warranty so had to go to Wickes with it as the person you paid the money to is the person you have the contract with). Once I did that they paid up the cost for Neff to repair (didn't have to even go to the Small Claims court). 😁
