£230 for some earphones? No. Just No.

Cost of producing things and their value aren’t directly related. Otherwise all art would cost the same, and designer clothes wouldn’t be a thing.

Good price - these things are excellent, I can’t recommend them enough
There’s been better deals but this is best from a big well known company so heat added but personally I’d hold out for a deal closer to £200 before in it the bullet

Agreed - got a pair from Amazon France for £197 using Revolut a couple weeks ago. But I’d understand if people are holding out for a UK based company for easier returns and replacements down the line.
I got a pair from amazon france and they couldnt have been more fake if they tried!

Yeah I got mine on that work technology scheme and after ni savings they’ll cost me £220 but work just take 2 per week out my pay so I just got them for this reason, I already have the Powerbeats pro and I love them both but the anc and tiny little carry case not the AirPod pros mean I use these more they just aren’t as good for the gym. I love anc though and sometimes I just put them in and turn anc on and walk without even music it’s so nice to just block the world out at times.

Look in Settings

If your AirPods are connected to your iOS device, you can use it to get the model number of your AirPods:

Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll down until you see the name of your AirPods (for example, "John's AirPods"). Tap the name, and you'll see the model number.

Which do you prefer I don’t know if to go for the AirPods pro or the Powerbeats pro (train twice a week couple of cycles nothing hardcore )

I’d have to say the Powerbeats pro, rye AirPods are better or level in most areas apart from the gym or cycling (off road). I just wouldn’t 100% trust the AirPods on a heavy bike ride or run and in the gym lying upside down etc they’d risk coming loose. Apart from that they are amazing. I’d say for 95% of people the AirPods are better but for people who do active sports they have to choose the Powerbeat pros

Yeah wouldn’t say it active sports literally a PT twice a week for an hour and a quick cycle to work for ten min twice a week (I work more but drive ) AirPods then??

I think as long as having something not quite as stable in your ear is fine then you’d be more impressed overall with the AirPods yeah.

I cannot see Amazon France selling fake Airpods pro.
They are fantastic.

I had second Gen and managed to sell these and get the Pros for £200 from o2. So glad i upgraded the difference is great and the fact they stay in my ears is a bonus.

They're both overpriced (given the sound quality), overtly-conspicuous things (if being blunt) but the PowerBeats Pro will be better for workouts, should stay put better with the earloops and are more 'sport-oriented/looking' - of those two. Personally, I use Jabra Elites which I'm happy with and much more discrete, they don't fall out and last long-distance events - many others on here use the same.

Tbh I am against AirPods because Apple did the whole one size fits all thing and they don’t. The Pros should fit better but cost a lot more. I like earloop earphones so if I had to choose from the two it’d be PowerBeats Pro. You shouldn’t get much wind noise as they are both ear plug type fit. If you are jumping around the PowerBeats will definitely take some effort to knock out!

If you had the option, buying from Apple is best as if you really don’t like them you can return them for a refund. Maybe get the AirPods if that’s what you had in mind - don’t let me or anyone else sway you, go with your gut or you will regret it!
These are fantastic. I used to swear by my Bose QC35s, but use my Airpods all the time now. ANC is fantastic on them, they're comfortable, hold a good charge, and sound great. Always hated the idea of having "loose" earphones in your ear, but they're rediculously convenient.

£230 is a good price.

Considering still £249 at Apple, I don’t think this is a bad saving really. £197 at Amazon FR is great, but not for me. To be fair, I travel to the US quite a bit so tend to get my Apple products there and save a little.

If you actually believe that they cost around that to make, which I doubt , then try buy a pair even a quarter of this price from Amazon, eBay etc from another brand and compare and you will be sadly disappointed. Greed has nothing to do with it, if people didn't think they were worth the money they wouldn't buy them, freedom of choice.
Yes the Airpods haven't got the best sound quality compared to it's competition but it makes up for it with it's CS, voice call quality and great ANC. I don't own a pair myself but have tried my brother's extensively. I'm into music and couldn't care less about voice calls etc so these are just not for me. Everyone has their own needs .
