3491608.jpgHear the music, not the background noise, with Active Noise Cancellation
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) uses twin microphones to measure outside and cancel outside noise – letting you hear more of the music, more of the time. With inward and outward-facing microphones, the AirPods Pro delivers superior quality isolation, allowing more musical detail to come through.

Transparency mode – let in the outside world when you need
There are times when you’re at the station or airport, waiting for an important Tannoy announcement. Or maybe you need to place a food order or ask for directions. With the AirPods Pro, simply switch on Transparency mode to let the outside world in.

Improved comfort
Supplied with three sizes of silicone ear tips, getting comfortable with the AirPods Pro is easier than ever. Featuring an internal taper, the silicone tips ergonomically fit your ears, creating an exceptional seal and remaining comfortable over time.

Top quality sound – just for you
Giving you the best sound quality possible, Adaptive EQ automatically tunes the music to suit the shape of your ear. Combined with the custom-built, low-distortion drivers, you get rich, full-bodied sound that sounds more natural than ever.

Powerful processing
With the Apple H1 headphone chip at their heart, the AirPods Pro not only sound better than ever but function seamless, too. Switch between music and calls, ANC and Transparency mode, have Siri read your messages and share audio with friends – and all in a flash, thanks to the powerful H1 processor.

Truly wireless listening
With no connecting cable or umbilical cord, the Apple AirPods Pro are entirely wireless, letting you enjoy total freedom of movement.

Wirelessly charging case
Making life easy, the carry case is wirelessly rechargeable. Simply place the case on a Qi-compatible charging mat and that’s it – your headphone case starts charging automatically. When you’ve not got a charging mat to hand, Apple’s Lightning port can also be used for charging.

Smart tech for a seamless match for your Apple devices
These smart headphones know when they’re in your ear and when they’re not – pausing the music when you remove them. They connect immediately to your iPhone or Apple Watch and can be easily set-up to run from your Mac and iPad, too.

The perfect match for Siri
Fully compatible with Apple’s voice assistant, Siri, you can summon a wide range of actions, without having to reach for your phone. Ask Siri to make a call, play music, read messages, change the volume or even search for directions – it’s all possible with a simple, “Hey Siri”.

For running these are great, but not in this warm weather as sweat makes them fall out. I have the QCs which tbh are my go to headphones and infinitely better than AirPods. Apple leads you to believe you need these, and they have their uses. But they certainly have their limitations.

Sold my QC 35ii headphones on eBay after getting these. These are like 90% as good but take up 10% of the space. I would’ve kept them but I literally never used them anymore.

Due to the pass through on AirPods I don’t get that “pressure” feeling the bose had. And being able to keep them in that pocket watch pocket on my jeans is great. No they’re not as good on planes but at least packing them is easy.

Good find
MrSwitch23/06/2020 07:55

Not at your biting point?

I would love a pair, and fortunately could afford it. I just don’t really need them, I work from home anyway so when kids go back to school I have the Sonos playing all day. I have original AirPods for when I exercise and they are fine for that and fit my ears well. For noise cancelling purposes I probably fly once every 2 years and probably get a train 3 times a year. £200 seems a bit of waste.

The noise cancelling is good but I actually use the “transparent” mode more than anything when I’m out and about so I can hear traffic etc! Got mine from amazon.de a few weeks ago for £201 so this is a v good deal

can you elaborate on why they are rubbish on planes? I currently have Bose quiet comfort 25’s but was going to switch to these.

I have both AirPod Pros and QC35. I haven’t taken both with me on a plane to compare, but they seem comparable everywhere else - why do you think QC35 are better?

Tempted as it would be £169 for me as i have a £30 voucher from them after broken tv issues
Ooo tempting especially from a respectable retailer.
Was going to grab some QC35’s or XM3 for when we actually start flying again to drown out the airplane noise and engine but wouldn’t really wear them for anything else except flights as having these on my nut on holiday around pool would just be silly.
Are these really that good for ANC
Does this code work on anything else?

It works on other headphones
Not exactly sure which ones tbh.
Maybe all headphones over £200 at a guess

If you sit up front, that whizz noise goes right through. If you sit at the back there’s a constant rumble.
Also, remember the QC can be connected to the screen if you have the wire, AirPods can’t. Fine if you’re taking your own media.
I use the AirPods through the airport, then switch the QCs once on board.
There really is no comparison in terms of noise cancellation, sound quality and battery life. But then they weren’t designed to compete.
For those that already have Bluetooth earphones/headphones, they could always use one of these RHA wireless flight adaptor

Great Deal OP!

Spatial sound update coming for these later this year too.
Seeing as a lot of people are going to purchase, I’d definitely reccomend these. And with yesterday’s announcement for spatial Audio, it’s going to get better.

How long do they last in the pro model? They are still fine in the original AirPods I got almost 4 years ago and was going to upgrade to the pro model.

But apparently they'll only replace if the battery can only hold 80% of it's original charge.
Have tried a load of headphones and the best compromise for outstanding quality and good noise-cancelling are the Sony WH-1000MX3. The NC isn’t perfect as I’ve experienced a buffeting effect on trains but great on planes where I hate the constant air pressure sound. best for active wear are the AirPods Gen2 (without the rubbish wireless case). I simply can’t justify the outlay for the AirPods Pro as they aren’t as good as the two above for multi-use.
I’ve heard the WF-1000MX3 are BETTER in all areas to the AirPods Pro and a lot cheaper but £30-40 at most retailers.

You’re suggesting an over ear head phone as an alternative? A lot of people get these due to the convenience of fitting in the pocket.

That’s exactly why I bought the AirPods. I have the 1000MX3s and they sound tons better than the AirPods, but they’re just inconvenient and bulky. They also make your ears sweaty in warm weather.

I agree the Sony WF-1000XM3 are much better then the Airpods and are available @ 118 on Amazon warehouse deals. However the Sonys are bulkier and not as water resistant as the Airpods.
You pays your money and makes your choice.
I have the Sonys by the way and can't fault them myself.

I added straight away as there’s accidental damage protection included. I think it’s up to 60 days after purchase. I had to do it over the phone, but didn’t take long

But I also suggested the original AirPods, yes they don’t have NC but they are just as good and much better value for money than the Pro.
