Samsung’s full wireless earbuds are priced at £190, google pixel buds at £170, Bose soundsport free at £250 so tell me what makes apple way overpriced in that category? That is the market price of the technology and it works flawlessly unlike even more expensive alternatives

I was sceptical at first but the functionality is excellent. They’re expensive but priced no differently to other premium fully wireless earbuds. And not due for an update for at least another year.

I never mentioned the category. My point is, regardless of who makes them, they are overpriced. It may be the market price, but they are still overpriced. Did I mention that they are overpriced?

Nice! They're still ridiculously overpriced but that's a good saving

Ordered these on Monday. Meant to be ready for collection today, but no sign of them anywhere. Good price though.

Just in the USA and bought a pair yesterday at $170 so even cheaper in the UK with the code . Good deal.

I love mine

I order yesterday from very at £142 delivered (they had £20 credit to account) but just cancelled and order these - great price thanks for posting

I paid full price 5 months ago and would pay the same again tomorrow if I had to. Great functionality, connects within seconds and works every time. Perfect for listening to books whilst walking the dog.

Don't think that's correct. They're due a refresh which includes moving the LED charge indicator and support for their wireless charging. I'd wait.

That’s not a refresh. It’s a wireless charging case for them that will be sold separately, not included.

Incorrect. The wireless charging case will be sold as an accessory for £70 in Q1 2018. The AirPods are not being revised, and will still be sold with the normal charging case.

Is it worth me purchasing if I will only ever use it with my iPhone? I know that people use these to connect to their Mac etc but I don't have one.

I also still have a headphone jack too

Well the market price is dictated by what people are willing to pay. And as far as the AirPods go demand was so high even at retail price, that they were sold out for most of the past year. They also have the highest rate of customer satisfaction for any product Apple has released (98%). I was also a doubter but have been converted since trying them myself.

I’ve no doubt that the first sentence of your comment is absolutely right. The rest of your comment naturally and correctly follows this premise. I would probably agree with the sound and build quality if they were cheaper, but I could always PM my address if you are still eager to convince me.

dont forget 3% quidco!

That is a mighty fine saving.

I still think the iPhone X should include these

Ordered ... but need some silicone pads to keep them in place, any recommendations ?

Are these waterproof?

Okay, they are not... order canceled.
Edited by: "padamowicz93" 18th Oct

I had them for a while before i sold them. The connectivety was excellent. The form factor was excellent however the sound quality was rubbish. Yes it was the same quality as wired but rubbish.

Purchased! Thanks a lot for this!

Can you both last track/next track, start and stop music with the earbuds? I'm sure you can answer calls.

I’d wait for the updated model coming out later this year. Apparently you don’t even need a battery full stop. They’re gonna graft this onto it and you plug it into your device

For my wired Apple earbuds I need to use Earskinz, this keeps them in and majorly improves bass as welll as adding some sound insulation. Funny that in the 90s Sony earbuds had a built-in grippy rubber surround that achieved the same thing, yet to this day Apple is unable to fix its otherwise high quality earbuds. Maybe Earskinz would fit the new Apple wireless earbuds too?

I have them and tried earskinz type equivalents to try and create some sound isolation. It helped somewhat but it meant the airpods wouldn’t fit in the case so I would have had to take them on and off each time so impractical

Double tap options are:
Siri
Play/pause
Next track
Previous track

You can have a different function on each AirPod. If you get a call you can double tap either to answer.

Order placed & voted hot. Thank you for posting this OP & I look forward to seeing what the hype is about. Cheers.

Way overpriced. I'm gonna wait till 2021, when they will be £9.99

Cancelled my BT order and ordered these. Cheers op. Quidco says my purchase amount is £254.40! Which is double bubble.

Another dealbreaker on buying Airpods for me then. But... what Earskinz equivalents are you using? Mine wear out so a cheaper equivalent would be useful.
