Use code Audio5 to save 5% code works on Speakers and Headphones Revolutionise the way you listen to music

The Apple HomePod
brings together Apple Music and Siri in a compact, yet powerful
speaker. No more navigating your iPhone for playlists and messing around
with Bluetooth – just ask Siri to play something chilled, or catch up
on TED Talks Daily podcast.

Apple's engineers have been hard at
work, packing in an A8 chip for super-fast buffering, a custom amplifier
for deep, rich bass, and seven tweeters so your music sounds amazing
wherever you stand in the room.

Siri's here to help

Not
sure if you need an umbrella? Be prepared for your commute with traffic
and weather updates from Siri before you head out the door. Stay
up-to-date with the latest news and sports headlines and ensure you
don't miss anything important by setting reminders and tasks.

It's
incredibly easy to stay in touch – send a text to let your friend know
you're on your way, or have a hands-free conversation by transferring a
call from your iPhone.

Intelligent hub

HomePod
forms the centre of your smart home by acting as a hub for your Apple
HomeKit smart accessories. Ask Siri to dim the lights, make the
downstairs cooler, and much more with just your voice.

Set a
schedule and automate multiple accessories at once – turn off the
lights, switch off plugs, and turn down the heating when you're ready
for bed with a command like “Goodnight”.

Simple to setup

You don't need to be a tech wiz to get the HomePod
setup. Simply plug it in and your iOS device will detect it so you can
get started easily. The modern, compact design won't look out of place
in any room, sitting neatly on your kitchen counter or bedside table.

The HomePod
intelligently adjusts the sound based on its location in the room, so
you always get the best quality audio. There's no need to shout either,
it can hear your request from across the room, even when loud songs are
playing.

Once it has more features am sure the price will be worth it. At the moment seems overpriced though.
Anyone who wants one John Lewis Home in Ipswich has a returned clearance one for £275 I think (on Saturday)

heat as cheapest new

dead comment... cheaper than rrp and this has the sound quality of a £1K+ system.. this is the best price at the moment
Might give it a second look after they stop their usual bout of customer-blaming and fix the wood problem.

Sound is amazing compared to top Alexa model to be fair but still Siri sucks and not Spotify compatible so no from me
This gives more expensive speakers a run for its money and whilst it's not the smart speaker like echo etc, it is a much better speaker...
Amazing sound and plays my Spotify which is a shame as I purchased a year of Apple Music which i thought i needed lol

dead comment... a £1k system of what? Applefanboiahoy.
Where did code come from, not seen anything on website, trying to get JL to price match a recent purchase but they are asking if it's a nationwide code
I have Apple everything, phone, watch, Mac, iPad... this is a big No No.
Way over priced and doesn’t do anything different to what a standard Bluetooth speaker connected to and Apple device running Siri would do.

But...yes it’s cheapest I’ve seen it at.

Not sure I would make any comment or vote for cold if I have never listen it myself before in a proper environment.
End of the day it is a cheaper price than RRP which is what this site is all about. Heat.
Got Alexa and one of these now and this blows it away. Its worth money imo as sound quality is unbelievable. Alexa for sale

Listened to the HomePod at the weekend, sounds very good and much better than other smart speakers I've heard, but your're listening the the wrong components if this is better than the £1K+ sound systems you've heard.
Heat tho I probably won’t consider it until it’s in the 270-280 range.
We have one. Siri great for hue lights and tado heating. Don't use Spotify so not really a problem there. The sound is epic. Just wonderful for classical and jazz if you're that way inclined.
People need to realise the difference in sound quality over wifi compared to bluetooth. If you don't know the difference just get an Alexa

A 1k system? It's not even the best wireless speaker on the market.
Will John Lewis Price Match?
Still sitting out until both running stereo pairs and Airplay2 is available. Hoping a stereo pair will be a replacement for my Zepplin Air.
How does this compare to the top end more expensive Sonos 5? My sonos one is better sound than my Kef speaker (individually) at over £1000 BTW. Ant that’s with a top end demon AV. This is music I am referring to not movie soundtracks etc.

Most of the comparison tests have been against the Sonos 3, due to the price points. The general feeling in the reviews that have compared the Homepod and the 5 is that it's a very close thing on sound quality.

I've yet to hear a smart speaker sound better than my dedicated seperates (Arcam & B&W) or my home AV system (Yamaha, KEF & Rel). I don't think they're about that level of sound quality though. The main focus for me will be how this compares to, my now ageing, Zeppelin Air. It will also be about how they perform as a stereo pair.

Got mine from Very for 287 with discount code
Bought one of these but it "hissed" white noise, when in a quiet room even with no sound playing, so it went back.

Thanks for sharing the discount Op.

Yeah they are totally rubbish but it’s usually where I find discounts that no other retailer can match. I only buy from them when codes come through otherwise I shop elsewhere.

You haven't been listening to £1k systems lol! This thing is about the same as the Google Max and I'd pick that anyday over this.
Expired
Appreciate the discount, but that price can come down a lot further.

Cracking speaker though; heard it on The Verge and then saw one in person. Really amazing sound quality. It’ll be much better when Apple pull their finger out and improve Siri.
Same as others Siri is shocking but Apple have just poached the google now developer so hopefully in time it will get as good as google, these will be great when you can use a stereo pair I’m waiting for BOGOF then I’m in
5% quidco Or cex Have grade a £275
£250 and I’m there. Will add nicely to my overpriced-yet-perfectly featured Apple eco system. **Waits for £250 deal**
