I have a 27 inch iMac that cost £2569, but even I'd feel ripped off if I bought that one, you can buy a Windows PC with better specs for that and still be able to afford a 144hrz 27 inch monitor.

Hardly comparable.

Sorry, I've had 3 window laptops and despite better spec all get slow v quickly and crash regularly. My MacBook Pro is as quick as the day I got it and only froze once. You get what you pay for!
No windows pc can compare to Mac. But I have build PC, installed El Capitan ( Hakintosh), bought Asus 28" 4K monitor and basically have Mac Pro for just a fraction of price.
My 2007 iMac (with SSD upgrade) is still running great on the very latest operating system, these machines are built to last and when you take the useful lifetime into account it's a great deal especially for the retina model.
Not for everyone, but it is good deal for iMac especially with 3 years warranty.

Well firstly this isn't a Laptop and secondly I dunno what crap Laptops you're buying.
PCs Laptops, Windows always gets bloated v quickly and sluggish. Never had that problem with a Mac. My MacBook Pro is quick enough for me.
