It supports the first generation Apple Pencil; but not included in the package.
Still waiting on my delivery from 2/3 weeks ago

Hermes have it, aren't delivering it and eglobal are saying they left a message with hermes, despite excellent prices my first and probably last unfortunately.
I ordered mine last month and a pen , before the mad rush , so glad I did now as I wanted the rose gold one x
I'm waiting to pounce on a £300 price target from a UK retailer.
If there was a hard shell keyboard case available I'd be over this. At the moment the only ones on amazon are the flappy trifold ones.

Perhaps I should hold out for a sub £350 ipad air.

They are already sub £350

Sadly I missed out at the start of the week. HiTech have got the Air 3 back in stock now, but at £429.95 (or £369 after voucher).

Too slow this time around, I wonder if ebay will have another code available soon......

I do think if they are advertising it as editing 4k and multi tasking and do things on it then they should have to put the minimum storage of to at least 64gb. 32gb is not enough for an iPhone, well for me it's not anymore. Unless they can give a good enough discount on the iPad for 32gb then that's fine or for those who use it for streaming and not needing to install many apps.

I've been tempted by Hitech as they have good prices and appear to have good reviews (if they all genuine that is) but when my local Apple Store advised me that a grey import would require to be sent back to the country that Apple distributed it in it ended my interest. I just couldn't deal with that hassle if an iPad developed any glitches.

That's for a warranty repair. Sorry that wasn't clear.

Uh, that goes against previous experiences people have mentioned on here (where they went to the Apple Store here with an issue with one purchased from eglobal/elsewhere). Maybe they just wanted you to buy it from them right there and then for more money.

this has been discussed before and some people state that only applies to the iphone and that the ipad should be fine to get repaired in the UK. then some people have said this is not the case when they have asked at an apple store. only true answer will be to contact apple uk customer service on their website for a definitive answer as there seems to be contradicting ones out there.

Have you looked at Very.com? They were doing £50 cashback on BNPL deals bringing it down to £300. Not sure when the code expired though friend.

Have you looked at the SUPCASE unicorn beetle Pro series? On amazon UK and looks pretty high grade for for sub £30 too.

It states on Apple's website that they may restrict warranty so they can do as they please unfortunately. Maybe individual stores have different policies but I'd have expected them to be uniform. I was told the policy of telling people to deal with it themselves by sending back to the relevant country had always been the case, at least in the reps experience (she was very polite about it). I think Apple would clearly want to discourage grey imports but it's not exactly good for the environment if Apple devices are flying about the planet every time a grey import develops a fault.38870722-KrJKx.jpg

Some chance. It was the Edinburgh store. She should have that known my wallet would be in a sewn up trouser pocket.

OBTAINING WARRANTY SERVICE

Please access and review the online help resources referred to in the documentation accompanying this hardware product before requesting warranty service. If the product is still not functioning properly after making use of these resources, please contact the Apple representatives or, if applicable, an Apple Authorised Service Provider located using the information provided in the documentation. An Apple representative or Apple Authorised Service Provider will help determine whether your product requires service and, if it does, will inform you how Apple will provide it. Apple or its Apple Authorised Service Providers will provide warranty service on products that are tendered or presented for service during the Warranty Period, as permitted by law. If the product is portable, meaning that it can operate independently without a power cord, you may obtain warranty service worldwide. However, service will be limited to the options available in the country where service is requested. If the product is not portable, warranty service may be restricted to the country where the product is purchased. Service options, parts availability and response times will vary according to country. You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges if the product cannot be serviced in the country it is in. In accordance with applicable law, Apple may require that you furnish proof of purchase details and/or comply with registration requirements before receiving warranty service. Please refer to the accompanying documentation for more details on this and other matters on obtaining warranty service.

I think there are different warranty pages out there on apple worldwide warranty, which is pretty poor as you don't know which one applies, but it does sound like it will be at apple's discretion with regard to worldwide warranty. i think they place importance on whether the product was purchased abroad by you then you relocate to another country where the device becomes faulty and you require repair under the worldwide warranty terms.

this they consider completely different to those who import devices from abroad and then sell them on as the buyer will then no longer fall into the this worldwide warranty provision and they can ask that the buyer sends the device back to the country of purchase for repairs. guess in an attempt not to promote grey import, which seems fair enough.
Unless anyone knows different, buying a grey import could become a headache if it requires warranty repair. I'd expect hefty fees for delivery and return and I'd guess you'd be without the device for the best part of a month. Deal-breaker for me. Save for longer and John Lewis 2 year warranty every time.

Problem is it says "you MAY obtain warranty service worldwide". It's for Apple to decide, and as their warranty states, they MAY restrict warranty to the country of origin. It's left open to Apple to decide its policy at any given time but from what I heard they won't repair a grey warranty in the recipient country.

Hermes are useless. You can reasonably expect your package to be lost or stolen with that lot.
Done a lot of research recently (because of the ebay voucher on here a couple days back) on how Apple actually deals with repairs under warranty for Ipads and from what I've gathered, Apple will honour the warranty without issue unless it's a cellular device, the normal wifi one should be fine.
