For downloading Netflix content on SD rule of thumb is about 1gb per hour for movies or series so a 2 hour movie being 2gb and 1 hour episode 1 gb.. downloading in HD jumps to 3gb per hour.

Similar to Disney I guess, also matroska files could be even smaller in good quality if that is what you want to copy over. In the end its all about the quality but in my opinion its more than sufficient as we have done this for the kids several time going on vacation and they never run out on content.

Got one of these for my daughter after selling her old ipad. It was a 100 pound upgrade and an absolute steal. The shear speed in this thing alongside the larger screen plus you can plug headphones in make this an absolute brilliant ipad.

Roblox, is now back up to full speed with all the graphics at maximum.

Regarding videos, download a few of Netflix for travels that will take 10 gig, depends how much content you require as most of the time kids will be streaming so it has never been raised as an issue. The days of needing bigger memory in my household are long gone. I would use the money to buy the pen and a decent case to be honest.
Also, don’t forget that now that ipad has battery save as an option in settings the thing lasts even longer. I use it all the time in my iPad Pro as battery is more useful than power.

Ordered this at the end of November 2021, delivery was stated as 4 weeks, but it actually arrived in 2, so may the dates quoted will hopefully just be to cover themselves and you may get it quicker.

Yes I find I need less storage on an iPad than a phone because I’m not filling it up with photos and videos from the camera, and cruft from things like WhatsApp. You can temporarily fit a surprising amount of downloaded video on 64GB for travels, and if you have a USB C model like the Air or Mini 6 you can also use an external hard drive or memory stick for use on things such as a train or plane. I think you can also do this with Lightning iPads too, but you need to get a Lightning to USB adaptor (ideally official).
