The code doesn't work.
Code worked for me - thanks!
I ordered from this seller last time there was a 20% eBay code - no issues at all. As per description it's basically the US model, but comes with a UK adapter part for the plug (remember the iPad adapters are 2-parts - so the main electronics bit is still all genuine Apple components). Mine also came with some non-official accessories like headphones, portable USB battery pack, screen protector and some other bits that I've forgotten about already.
It also activated the 1-year free trial for the Apple TV subscription service.

ORDER DATE 07 Dec, 2019
Delivered on 12 Dec, 2019
ordered my second one from these guys this morning
delivery wednesday / thursday
I ended up going for the 128Gb model - extra £80 but couldn’t see 32GB being enough at all for my travels if I needed to download some movies/tv shows

Does it come in an Apple sealed box, as looking to buy for a present.?
Yes
Mine had a few dents (the box) as it comes in a white Jiffy bag
Not bothered about the box.

Yes - official Apple Box (sealed). These are grey imports from the US (and you can activate the 12 month warranty via Apple's website). The only difference you'll notice is that it comes with a US plug. The seller provides you with a 3 pin (UK) adapter. A previous poster in this thread has mentioned this (in greater, useful detail).

The only gripe I have is that the seller posts them in those standard sealable post bags (you'll know the ones I mean i.e. usually grey plastic). The issue is that the iPad box is placed straight within the post bag without any bubble wrap/other. I doubt the iPad would ever come damaged as the iPad boxes are of very good quality, but the box may have imperfections.

I've ordered my second from this seller.
I ordered two of these for Christmas presents. They came 2 days after the order and were brand new and sealed. Great saving over the UK Apple retail price
Mine arrived less than 24 hours after ordering. It’s in the sealed Apple box (with dents from the inadequate packaging, as others have said). There’s a UK adaptor & a bag of what looks like cheap junk - earphones, stylus, cleaning cloth & a 4000mAH power bank.
Ordered this should be delivered on Thursday. Is there a code in the box for the apple TV subscription?

No code that I can see.
I need someone to talk me out of this still on my original iPad Air (bought 6 years ago) which still works but battery drain is quick now. 32gb doesn’t bother me - Air only has that (although I pay 79p a month for iCloud storage, so no biggie). Credit card may need to take the strain...
Last time I updated my iPad to the Air, I sold the old one on eBay, which softened the blow a little!

eBay or elsewhere? I saw Amazon advertising a site earlier - still functions nicely, although I’d probably be amazed at the difference if I switched on a 2019 version!
Ordered as price appears roughly £110 cheaper than Currys, John Lewis etc. My 2012 iPad 3 is still functioning but has mysteriously developed cracks on the screen (must hide this one from kids!).

Buy it. You won't regret it. It'll run 100 times better than your iPad Air. Although it's Apple's base model (and they've scrimped on some of the materials now i.e. the screen is a little 'plasticky') it's their latest 'iPad' and you'll be able to update iOS for many years to come. It'll feel like a breath of fresh 'air' compared to your first gen Air. The value for money (at this price is really good IMHO).

So no....I'm unable to talk you out of it.

A couple of extra points:

1. Someone mentioned selling your Air to reduce the cost. Great idea - try CEX to see what they'd give you for trading it in (if you have a store near to where you live it'd be easier). There's recycling companies also like Envirofone etc. These options may be less hassle than eBay / gumtree / Facebook selling page etc.
2. If you have a PayPal account you could buy it on 0% for 4 months. You have to apply for PayPal credit (beforehand) but you get a decision there and then (the application only takes a couple of minutes). You'd need to be careful to make sure that you choose the right payment option in eBay. PayPal credit is a doddle and you can setup a monthly debit to make sure you at least pay the minimum. It's a good way to spread the cost - but as ever, only use this option if it makes financial sense and you can afford it.

Just do it. I've ordered twice from this seller and I have no regrets. The freebies are a nice touch but that's it - they are of poor quality and I'd be fearful of the powerbank spontaneously combusting!

Thank you for the detailed response, I appreciate it I only dipped my toe into the world of credit cards a few months ago, so possibly wary of opening another line of credit, but I take the point. Thank you again
As much as I love Android, i have to say this iPad is excellent - got this for Christmas and very pleased with it
Set up very quickly & I really notice the extra speed vs. my old iPad Air.
so tempted to buy this one but worried it's not legit. Can someone who has recently bought it confirm whether it's legit and in sealed original box please? Any issues registering warrnty etc?

Cheers!
Absolutely legit. It comes in the sealed box, it’s just the US version.

Don't want to sound unhelpful, but have you actually read this thread? HUKDealsonwheels answers your questions in his post which is about fifteen above this one.

Thanks, just ordered. Let's hope it's not an utter waste of time haha! I hope they don't send me all the junk too - that's going straight to the bin!

Despite my reservations mentioned above, I bought one and it turned up today. All in an iPad box, with a slight dent to the corner: as others stated, in quite a flimsy bag, so I guess I was lucky. Other than that, it’s working absolutely fine.
If I buy one but don’t open until 2 months later, would the warranty start from when setup 2 months later?
