I just got myself one of these for the kids, it was in excellent condition and works really well.

Also my first piece of Apple Hardware after avoiding it for years.

I went for the Grade B and it was almost perfect, the deals on the IPad 3 seem particularly good VFM compared to the Ipad 2 without Retina Display.

If you want something a little cheaper try:

Apple iPad 3 16GB WiFi 4G - Black - Locked to Vodafone / Lebara - Grade B - £139.99

Also don't forget Quidco, they have paid me the £5 the last couple of times I bought phones from them.

this ipad is very sluggish. no more updates and you will most likely struggle with the storage not much left after iOS. YMMV.

Good for kids, possibly. Price seems good.

Mine will mostly be used for Amazon Prime and Netflix, kids are always fighting over the Samsung Note 10.1 which has a lot more storage as its expandable.
It seems to be quicker than the Android for browsing etc,

I didn't see the value in spending an extra £40 on the Ipad 4 (but then I know very little about Apple products)

I wish I could sell my iPad 3 32gb for anything like this much money. You get offered £60 if you're lucky so they must be making a mint on this

The iPad 3 is and was a great iPad but Apple have totally ruined it with the new updates - part of their planned obsolescence that they deny. For what the OP said it will be fine but even my work Air 1st gen feels seriously slow compared to the Air 2 and Pro I have at home. The iPad 4 is noticeably quicker but probably not worth the extra £40. You can get a good used Air 1 for around £200 at the moment and that has the A7 processor not the A6X (iPad 4) or A5X (iPad 3).

Probably better going for something that is still supported like the Air1/2 IMO, personally I think the iPad 4 was lucky to get support and suspect that will go next cycle with all other 32bit based devices.

I've a 32GB ipad which I bought for £220 about 4 years ago. Admittedly not 4G but it's just so underpowered compared to my LG G4 now. I'd say it's worth around the £100 mark.

Dreadful deal.
