Apple iPad 32Gb 2018 - £285 (£235 with trade-in) @ in Currys/PC World

Wow no posts in years and now 2 in as many days....

Be kind.... even if you hate Apple and I promise to keep an eye out for a Samsung deal ;-)

Anyway here it is....

- Currys have the Ipad 32GB for £285 reduced from £319 (spec below)....

- They also have an offer of £50 off this ipad on trade in If you take in ANY tablet under 7 years old and which powers up off its own battery (ie doesn't need to be plugged in to work).

I personally took in a 5 year old mini android tablet that was on its last legs and it was accepted no questions asked. Online sites were offering me under £2 for my tablet or refusing to take it, so very happy with £50.

Whilst you cannot do this deal online, you can request a click and collect on the ipad and on collection take in your tablet for the £50 discount... There is plenty of stock, but i would still recommend doing this to avoid disappointment.

I believe there is also 1% TCB

Hope this helps someone.....

My original iPad Air from 2013 is still going strong. Only piece of tech I've had that's lasted so long. It's a bit slow and the battery life is pretty poor, but it works, and no cracks or damage

I have been holding off getting one of these, but with this offer, i couldn't resist.... Cant see me getting a better deal from a uk retailer

Could you use currys vouchers to purchase this even after getting 50 off with the old tablet?

I'd love to upgrade but there is no real reason to when my air still works. So until it dies or gets broken, no upgrade for me. Enjoy your nice upgrade! Voting hot

I would assume yes as the £50 is assigned as a voucher aswell and then taken off the 285 price...

I bet even with the above you are still tempted.....

maybe this will tip the balance... you can get about £100 for your original ipad air on ebay meaning you have the latest ipad air for about £100 ;-)

I had the Same battery issues.
so In April I took my IPad Air to cex and got £109.00 as was mint and boxed. Got a new 32gb WiFi 2018 ipad from eglobal for £221.00 took 12 days to arrive. After Quidco it cost £107.00 to upgrade.
Thanks, great place, purchased today
I'm an Android user but own a 2018 ipad 32gb cellular with apple pencil and I absolutely love it! Best piece of kit I've got. If youre on the fence, it's well worth it and battery life is fantastic. Love my ipad!

Oof, nice. Not sure I have the box and there are a few very light small scratches on the screen.
Does anyone know how well Apple Pencil works on these as opposed to a Pro? Can you get a deal this good on a 12” version?
I bought one of these on 2018 for £206 brand new from eglobal, no trade in needed. Why bother with all this hassle and just buy from them. Had no issues at all 2 x iPads now.

Works well. Screen isn't quite as nice as not laminated and not 120hz, but still very slick implementation.

Work well enough to save myself the extra £400~ from not going Pro or is it a noticeable upgrade with the better specs?

I understand, you could go in and get a quote from cex.
look online and see what they offer.
A week after I did the trade in the were giving £121 I think.

As soon as I unbox ipad phones etc, it gets a glass screen protector and case.
I think my 5 year old Lumia 640xl could be put in its box and sold as new.
But I want it to use for home broadband, when three offer the £20.00 unlimited date sim deal again.
Apple make by far the best tablets on the market.
I have a kindle fire tablet... wonder if they'll accept those?
I looked at Currys exchange a week ago and then they were only giving money off if you had an old ipad and bought a new one at the same time. If this is for any tablet then this is a good deal.

People keep saying this but I don't know why. I ran an iPad 2017 and Samsung Tab S2 together for a while and preferred the Samsung so sold the Apple.

The only thing I preferred about the iPad was the slower battery drain.
John Lewis are selling these for £285 with a 2 year warranty johnlewis.com/201…393.

Lovely deal
Should I give my old iPad Air 1 in for this
Would it be worth it ?
Bloody scorcher this. I've got a 7" Asus I bought in 2012 that still works actually. Probably worth about £2 in eBay.

My Google Nuxus that I bought at the same time as my wife iPad is still faster and has far better battery.

I must confess, owned an ipad many years ago, sold it and have purchased several android ones since. None have been as good in all fairness, the lenovo I paid for had one update, purchased a bush Spiro Hd from argos, lasted just over a year with little use and failed, Samsung one I purchased, again very few updates. The Fire 10 HD I have now is pretty slow and every time I come to use it, the battery has drained. I may purchase one of these again. Fed up of wasting money on inferior products, in the end it costs more

Even better if you can use blue light / veterans card to buy the vouchers
WiFi only? No cellular?
Any idea how long this will be on for? I'm heading to Greece for a week but would love to do this when I get back. Have an old Nexus 7 lying around and could get the wife a new iPad

37785327-FIupX.jpgSays its on until 11 June.
Echo what others have said, I'm an Android fan boy and very much dislike iPhones, however the wife has an iPad Air 2 cellular and it's brilliant. Picked up on eBay a good few years ago and it's still going strong, definitely appreciate having the cellular version.
My iPad 2 from 2012 has a cracked screen. Still works as been using like this for about 3 years. Single crack with sellotape over it. Will this still receive the £50 trade in?
Do fire tablets count?
