Not for everyone, I know some people don't like eGlobal but I personally have never had any issues with them.

Decent price even with the announcement of the 2018 version.

Use code: JBUY599

Potentially some TCB too

How are they so cheap and why do people hate them?

I have ordered about 10 iPads from them now, and they have been absolutely brilliant.

All orders have come within 2 weeks, and have had zero issues.

Just bear in mind they never come with a british plug, and you could get an iPad from any region in the world - I have received American, Japanese, French - but the important thing is that regardless of the region all iPads are exactly the same, and they even include a converter plug inside the packaging.

I think you only tend to hear from peaople online when things go badly. I would highly recommend.

Yes, not a favourite company but I've ordered a couple of things in the past, recently Apple TV 4K and takes a couple of weeks to arrive with limited comms but no issues otherwise. Besides a 2 pin plug.

They import their stock from abroad hence the lower prices. Customer service isn't great apparently but my only experience with CS has been good.

I'm not sure how it works, but I reckon they are a global distribution centre for various electronics (close to production centres in China), and they sell off excess stock from their pallets.

They sell goods without VAT even those sent from a UK warehouse which is illegal.
Do apple still honour the warranty if not official uk stock?

Yep, you can walk in to any Apple Store with any Apple product and they'll fix it under warranty.
If you get the wrong plug you don't need to use a shaver adapter style connector. You can get one of these on eBay for £1.21-2.50 depending if you order it from China or UK.

I know the link says it's for magsafe, but I have been swapping them between my ipad charger and magsafe for years

The other connector slides off and you can put this one in place to get a proper UK charger:

Their website got suspended so they changed the domain and claim it is just 'rebranding'. Totally shady company. But hey it's cheap!
Refurbs are £239 on the Apple website if anyone would prefer.

I got an Xiaomi MI A1 from them, it took about a week, no issues, currently waiting for delivery of an iPad I ordered a few days ago (£122 with case), as you say iPads are the same and come with global Apple warranty so no need to deal with customer services if there’s an issue (apart for loss/damage in the post).
ive bought other iPads globally sourced from other eBay vendors and as soon as you register them with Apple you can check the warranty.

I’ve only bought via eBay not directly.
Have used these without issue. About a week delivery, I picked insured courier for an extra £10. Global apple warranty is key though, not sure I'd be comfortable risking buying a Samsung for example as I don't think they have global warranty.

just buy a proper usb one something like the multi USB ones from Anker for a tenner on offer every now and again or around £12,
Thanks OP ordered. if they are targeting UK customers then i believe they should send right plug.
Are Apple warranties global? I hadn't realised, that's good to know. Could anyone please confirm what the warranty shows up as when a different region iPad is registered with Apple in the UK? Thanks in advance.
If ordering, do people advise paying for the super special delivery or just the standard free one?
Bit strange that they've lost their old domain name. They're trying to call it a rebranding exercise!

The 12w adapter that comes with the iPad is regularly rated one of the best USB PD chargers available, and since this is a money saving site, I figured I'd try to help people out. I guess if you regularly charge multiple devices in the same place it could be worth it.

Not nearly as shady as amazon paying 15m taxes over nearly 20b sales in Europe
Just had Dpd confirmation of delivery tomorrow, ordered on 24th via eBay
Bought an ipad from them recently. 1 weeks to arrive and we had snow. Very happy customer

Their eBay store only seems to sell the 128G iPads only- otherwise i would buy from their too.

Other than that the new iPad 2018 might well drive prices down for these older models.

Ok will do. Not sure if the 2017 model will be enough for me (or my want of the latest bit of tech will mean i should wait for them to sell the 2018 model).
Can't find the other thread btw.

I don’t follow eGc so I don’t know how long it will take to appear on their eBay site.
i don’t really need a new iPad as I’m still using an iPad mini 2 which still works well for the browsing I use it for, but it will be handy for skygo
Do these iPads have pro motion?

I did, they've got world-wide warranty so it doesn't matter where the device is from you still have standard 12 months apple warranty.

Apple's iPad naming system got confusing so it's no wonder you're lost. They ditched the "Air" line and now they just have "iPad" and "iPad Pro".

This is last year's "iPad" model featuring an A9 processor. It was the successor to the iPad Air 2. Your iPad 4 would have an A6X which is three generations behind. It's obviously thinner with better cameras, more RAM etc too.
