The A9 processor is a bit dated and its only 32gb, but the price is competitive for the cellular version.

Put 2017 (or 5th Gen) into the title to help people out.

Sounds like you gave it away unfortunately there!

...Actually just checked eBay and looks like they go for £250-300. I was assuming more than that to be honest. Got the Pro 128gb myself and certainly wasn’t expecting it to be worth just that much! Lucky I’m not about to sell it then

We got it for £500 2 years ago, so not too bad imo

I'm currently selling my 10.5" Pro, the later model to that, 64gb but cellular, absolutely pristine and still under Apple warranty for 3 months, I'm aiming for £350-£400 somewhere, but had some ridiculous offers

Bought the 10.5 myself just recently. Cracking tablet and worthy of that money. I always keep two tablets; one for regular use and one for holidays

Can only dream about the new model lol!

If it wasn’t for the fact the other half has me paying for a new bathroom I’d have gone for one

Enjoy the tablet and your holiday!

Thanks mate

To be fair it doesn't feel like much of an upgrade, I just managed to nab it for a decent price - the only benefit really is it charges much faster with my MacBook Pro charger, other than that I honestly wouldn't recommend the upgrade.

Its that new processor that intrigues....but I’d be hard pushed to stress it browsing the web and watching movies I suspect 😜

if you’ve not tried it already, give Infuse a go. Best app for movies and TV storage / playback I’ve found. Like Plex but with a decent offline mode. Great for the hols (when the other half has passed out by the pool)

Sure, but the 10.5 performs so well, the difference will probably be only apparent under certain circumstances.

Thanks for the tip, gutted as I paid a tenner for a similar app earlier today

I paid about a fiver for Infuse in fairness so it wouldn’t have saved you much. What was the app you went for out of interest?

Hi, where do you download the movies from to Infuse? Thanks
The new iPadOS is promising with thumb drive support to expand storage.

Ah, not so bad then. I went with PlayerExtreme, seems to work really well.

I use a NAS that has my movies on and either stream to Infuse or download for offline playback. It will work with most network shares though including UPnP devices, Samba shares etc.

I’ve the free version of that app but haven’t used it in a while. I’ll give it another try I think!

Always like a belt and braces backup option 😜

I got my 64GB Cellular 10.5 Pro from Cash Converters for £260 and they frequently sell them for sub-£300. I think you could get £350 without much fuss for a pristine one. It’s the best iPad I’ve had, owned 3 of the Pro 11s now but they are such s**t, every one has suffered multitouch issues (and the headphone jack removal on a ‘Pro’ device) so back to the 2017 we go...

Yeah it was a giveaway. I paid £200 for a 32GB iPad Pro 9.7 a few months back, purely because I had a ZAGG Rugged Book case and the Air 2 I had was running a bit slow - the Pro 9.7” was such an unloved tablet and people often gloss over them searching for the 9.7 5th and 6th gen but with the Pro you get the quad-speakers, that amazing laminated TrueTone display and the better SoC.

Was that not from Grainger, during their closing down sale? Sounds like a mega price anyway.

i just had a look on Cash Converters, it looks like they start at around £320 for a beat up one with no box.

Nah mate - I had one before that, I sold it though as I was super excited about the Pro 11 2018, what a letdown... it is quick but it was failing to register touch input, Apple replicated it in store and replaced it for me, the replacement was worse so I returned it to JL and went back to this 2017 from CC. It was pretty good condition actually but even if it wasn’t I wouldn’t care, it’s a tool first and foremost but also great for casual gaming.

If you’re selling yours on eBay then you’ll get £350 easy I think, I would disable best offers or you get beggars/idiots. I bought another Pro 11 2018 last week from Envirofone for £499, worked fine for a week and had multitouch issues again. People kept saying it was an iOS software issue but whatever it is I can’t have such an expensive tablet that fails to respond half the time, also a screen protector doesn’t work with it properly at all.
Those iPad 11's have been mentioned on here (many a time too mind), to have certain unavoidable 'issues' inherent within them, etc?.

And has been mentioned (on and off) on here since last Year ...

The electrical grounding issue between human and machine, etc (that's scary within it's own right, if you ask me?).

Until Apple addresses it, or whatever?, be a bit careful with those 11" Apple iPad's basically ...

And it was a very fair price indeed (and for the 128GB one at that?). :-)

My Mum is in the lookout for an iPad, so wouldn't have minded one of those at that price too ... (or similar price, eg. £250-£300 mark max).

Ahhhhhhhh well, another time I guess, lol.
Rich06904/06/2019 08:47

Lost £300 in 2 years? Sounds bad to me.

Lol, perhaps, but you're not helping ...
I'll await the next time eBay does another one of their 10%-15% discount sale thingy's, or whatever?, then BAM!!.

And hopefully Argos will/would be amongst the list of preferred seller's at the time, etc ... :-)

I know the last time they did it (just shy of 2 Week's ago that is), PC World was amongst that list, but I don't believe they had any 2017 no Pro iPad's on hand at the time (or at least, I don't believe they had?).

I don't think Argos was amongst that list at the time either (or at least, I never checks it to be 100% sure).

Either way, there's always next time I guess? (hopefully). :-)
