Post from mobile hence crappy English!

I have just recieved my new ipad that I am currently trying to set up. I was hoping someone could help me, I have got the 3g virsion and thought that i would be able to insert my sim out of my 3 dongle into the sim slot on the ipad, but have now realised that this needs to be a micro sim, I would rather stay on my current 3 pay as u go, is there any suggestions as to what I could do?

POMPUS ASS REMARK, ONE HOPES YOU KEEP YOUR MATERIALISTIC PROPERTIES
IN ONE PIECE, GOD FORBID YOU SHOULD CONSIDER HOW FORTUNATE YOU ARE COMPAIRED
TO OTHERS.

You need to buy a sim cutter from eBay or some such site.

lol, I am a computer novice on the whole, and even less so with very current tech, am just looking for friendly advice!

communications: WIFI/3G/BT does this mean i can only use the 3g with BT or does the BT stand for something else?

BT = Bluetooth

If this comes with the apple 12 month warrantee I think it is a good deal.

Ex Display

So are you an ipad owner who dislikes ex-display (which makes it affordable for some people) or just rating this poorly due to your own Sony tablet posting during which you seem to slate the ipad?!?!

Seems like a decent price for an ipad if someone accepts that it is an ex-display and aren't overly concerned with that. Ratings should be on the "DEAL" itself and not on whether or not you like ex-display items or not IMHO!

This is the problem with these cheap and dirty ipad deals... it just … This is the problem with these cheap and dirty ipad deals... it just attracts the rude and the rough. I expect you, my newly registered friend, have never had the pleasure owning a brand new iPad. Remember, you are not an iPad owner unless your iPad is brand new (and has been paid for). We Apple owners will never accept you as one of our own.

ha ha, thank f*** for that!

Disagree to "cheap and dirty" deal and I can only see one rude person on this site (first abusive to other member who was looking for help and then being rude about deal itself - classy)!

So what, if someone hasn't had "the pleasure" of owning a BRAND NEW ipad?

I can also honeslty say that I think you've taken the biscuit for stupidest comment of the day about not being an owner unless your ipad is BRAND NEW and paid for!?! It was either that part or the bit when you said "We Apple owners will never accept you as one of our own".

As an Apple owner myself, I have no issue with someone purchasing an ex.display or a refurb if they're told in advance of what it is and are they're quite happy with the amount they're paying for it. I'm pretty sure that Steve Jobs (or the incoming CEO) would also feel the same way!

Martyn, pretty sure 'RealBlender' is a troll either that or he has some real issues anyway.

Of course it does not come with an apple 12 month warranrty. It has (at a … Of course it does not come with an apple 12 month warranrty. It has (at a guess) been sat in the shop switched on since the launch of the iPad. This is ex-demo stock. You will most probably get your warranty from Bigpockets guarantee but I do not value that much. Better you do things properly and buy fresh and new.

FYI - incase you forgot you have also posted a deal for a REFURB laptop which some people would say is worse than an ex-display as it's already had issues!!!!

So much for must buy new!!!! Maybe those laptop owners won't accept YOU as 'one of their own'...(still bemused by the ridiculous comment!)

Ex Display

Err, I bought my very first LCD from pc world ex display for next to nothing. I couldnt have afforded a new one back then and I was advised not too because it had spent most of its life switched on. STILL going strong (must be at least 5 years on) and it's been completely abused having been chucked about in the back of my car for gaming nights at friends houses etc.

Ok so a TV is perhaps a little different to an ipad as it doesnt get fingers all over it but when you buy a new one thats exactly what YOU do with it!?

Not voted either way as I dont know what this is actually worth.

Well that's a few people reported for being berks...

As for the DEAL - I think it's better than people are saying. It's an iPad for £250 which is covered by the DSR, so if it comes with dents and damage you can return it - no questions asked - and either get another or save-up for a new one.

You also get a 1-year warranty from BP - who I've dealt with in the past and they're both friendly, helpful and decent about the things they sell.

The differences between iPad1 and 2 won't matter to a lot of people and £150 WILL - some people may not even care about dents, so long as they don't affect it's usability and all that.

So - hot from me!!
